JerseyBills Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) And I love it. I feel this staff has a clear and affirmative vision. Ball security, Top 10 D, Top 5 run game has been a recipe for success in every era of football. Williams had 28 total touches last year and fumbled twice. Meanwhile, Baynard, who is a similar runner ,has zero career fumbles. Dimarco has zero career fumbles. Tolbert hasn't fumbled in 5 years. Yes Taiwan has had fumble issues but I guess the staff feels he is more versatile with ST and adds a different dynamic with his elite speed. Oh and don't forget Tyrod Taylor who is an elite runner. We have a proven elite run game for two years and a defense that looks noticably quicker and more aggressive. It's very realistic they finish top 10 or better and the run game is top 5 or better. Limit turnovers and this is an instant recipe for success and contention this year. I'm getting a little tired of the tank talk. "McDermott doesn't care about winning" statements, I'm sure McD,Beane and Dennison hated their Super Bowl experience 2 years ago ,SMH. Give this team a few games and be prepared to be pleasently surprised, there's an obvious vision and motivation behind these moves. 10+ wins Edited September 4, 2017 by JerseyBills
Magox Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Oh no! You presented facts that go against the conventional wisdom of our ex legendary JAG backup running back.
ClemsonBills Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Still gotta throw to win, can't be one sided

Banyard fumbled this offseason And tolbert avg 3.3 ypc and sucks as a halfback. But is friends with the coach so theres that. And the 1970s called they want their football back Edited September 4, 2017 by MAJBobby

North Buffalo Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Selective stats... JWill didnt fumble this preseason, Barnard did... Trump school of facts.
YoloinOhio Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Maybe. Jwill and barnyard are interchangeable at this point. banyard was a better blocker in preseason. Jwill has PS eligibility so hes the one who goes. If he's claimed then they just put another young RB on the PS.
MAJBobby Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Or the Seahawks, steelers who have won the same way. Facts.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The EXCEPTION not the Norm. See how that works
baskingridgebillsfan Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 didn't joe b put one on the ground in preseason
BilLions Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 It's great to have a vision but letting your RB2 go for nothing in return is frustrating as it is concerning. Even if he was originally RB3. And doing this the day after the 1st cuts is strange.
MAJBobby Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I see Jersey doesnt come back to address his spun stats
aristocrat Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Or the Seahawks, steelers who have won the same way. Facts.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The EXCEPTION not the Norm. See how that works So the run game has no place in the game? More top 5 defenses have won titles than top 5 offenses over the last 20 years Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
TigerJ Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Williams knew that ball security was an issue last season, and worked hard to correct it, with promising results in the preseason. I agree that Joe Banyard is a similar back, but I'm not sure why the Bills kept him over Williams, except that there seems to be an emphasis by this administration on experience over youth as evidenced by the average age of the team members. Tobert and Taiwan Jones are very different types of backs. That seems to be by design.

But hey when you have a RB playing QB i guess that is what you need to do.
aristocrat Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I see Jersey doesnt come back to address his spun stats Cowboys get celebrated for huge run game but bills are hated for it. Hawks use big defense to win but when we want the bills to we are hated on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Wilson had to put alot of games on his back in their run But its ok your probably one of those callers on WGR i hear talk about OL and Defense win championships. Not QBs like i have heard for the last 17 years Edited September 4, 2017 by MAJBobby

And the 1970s called they want their football back Since we are bringing up this offseason, Tolbert averaged 4.7 yac in THIS offense THIS offseason with THIS team. T jones 6.4. If you hate this team so much, then take some time off. It is going to be what it is under Beane and McDermott and many of us love it.
