JohnBonhamRocks Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 This is a bigger surprise than Williams to me.
r00tabaga Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Intriguing? I'm glad I'm busy on Sunday's to not watch this **** show this year. That's awesome news! So you won't be contributing here anymore on Sundays? And I use the word "contributing" lightly.
BurpleBull Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Not as upsetting as the J Williams cut. What!?! They cut Jonathan Williams???
Pbomb Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) So who is our backup mlb now? Hodges and ragland both gone, Vallejo is hurt, so basically milano and the new guy are our only backups Edited September 3, 2017 by Pbomb
clayboy54 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 That's the best damn news I've heard today!
Big C Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Preston is going to play 100% of snaps this year barring injury. I hope he's ready.
PromoTheRobot Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 @profootballtalk Bills cut Gerald Hodges per source. @joebuscaglia Here's one of the other cuts. Hodges was going to be the main backup MLB. Hooked on to the 2nd team D late into camp. I was this close from recycling my old Poz jersey with a Hodges name plate.
3rdand12 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 He looked good in preseason when he wasn't injured oh and this move continues to reinforce the Mystery Process we all should be trusting
H2o Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Hodges cut too? Wtf are we doing?....... Sorry, this is the first I've scanned the net since yesterday afternoon.
Helpmenow Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I was this close from recycling my old Poz jersey with a Hodges name plate. Spikes and the other spikes and John tracey
BADOLBILZ Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Preston is going to play 100% of snaps this year barring injury. I hope he's ready. Hodges is probably not going to get picked up so it's not inconceivable that he could be back after week 1 on a week-to-week pay basis. They wouldn't do something like that to Vlad Ducasse though. Not only might some team snap up The Imploder.......but it would be wrong to not guarantee his salary.
Max Fischer Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Oh My God, not that guy, who ever he is, that I'm kinda sure would have been awesome, but I guess may or may not be picked up by another team.

Vlad should be the face of the Franchise opening Day. Oh My God, not that guy, who ever he is, that I'm kinda sure would have been awesome, but I guess may or may not be picked up by another team. Oh yes, it was That Guy. and the Towers trembled over the move.

Not trying to get political about this, but there appears to be something Trumprussian about this Vlad affection by Beanie and Cecil.
OldTimer1960 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I don't understand this move at all. Hodges's looked quite respectable this preseason and played well last year in real NFL games. No idea who is the backup MLB, but the Bills now are in contention for the worst LB crew in the NFL.
NewEra Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 This is a bigger surprise than Williams to me. Me too. I have no idea what these guys are thinking with this cut. Versatile, good in coverage. Is ramon Humber really this good?
YoloinOhio Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) Rumblings he could return after week 1. Salary guaranteed for season if he is on roster week 1 Edited September 4, 2017 by YoloinOhio
Lurker Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Rumblings he could return after week 1. Salary guaranteed for season if he is on roster week 1 Seems logical. Sign him after week two and put Vallejo on IR for a red shirt year. Win-win. https://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2014/9/6/6112927/nfl-week-1-vested-veteran-contracts-are-now-fully-guaranteed When a team signs a "vested" veteran after Week 1, the organization can sign that player for the league minimum with little risk. If the player is only good enough to last a few weeks or is just signed to fill-in for an injury, the team can drop them and their salary. It's essentially a way to beat the system, while still allowing older players to catch a last paycheck or opportunity.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 I was this close from recycling my old Poz jersey with a Hodges name plate. Poz would have been a good fit in this D.
