FreddieJizzle22 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 So they're cutting Jonathan Williams to replace him with (hopefully) another Jonathan Williams......................? Why though... Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet? We'll never know the answers to these questions!
C.Biscuit97 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Sal Capaccio Verified account @SalSports 8m8 minutes ago More I don't think Tolbert will be No. 2 RB. I think it's Banyard. That's why they gave him 14 carries Thur night, to get a good look at him So they gave a guy who they thought might be the backup running back 14 carries in the last preseason game? What if he got hurt?
HuSeYiN_NYC Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I wasn't a fan of J. Will last year because Gillislee was my guy after Shady but he showed promise this year... Pretty upsetting honestly... But through all the madness and i joked about it a few pages back but, i actually like Banyard... I also like Taiwan Jones... Not saying J. Will wasn't a loss, but I think we'll be ok when Shady steps off the field to catch a breather... I just wish we would of got something for J. Will instead of flat out releasing him. I think he showcased enough talent to muster a player for player trade...
SectionC3 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 It's another instance of "if we are going to lean on the run game why do we leave it dangerously thin" I'm not even a big jwill fan but if shady pulls a hammy in the second quarter this week, what are we doing? This. Totally agree.

Peter Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 This is bullsht!! All u McBeane ball washers pleae explain to me what cutting the best back up RB on the roster that's on a 5th round pick rookie deal does good for this team? These moves are starting to make no sense now. If they cut Miller and start Dukaka then we kno these are "our guys are better than their guys" playing favorite type moves and thats gonna destroy this team. Better hope they know how to draft bc this rookie GM is losing the fanbase fast. Exactly, This move also is completely contrary to what I understood was their philosophy . . . oops, I mean process.
nucci Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Other than the fumble, I thought Barnyard looked better than JW. he did look pretty good
JM2009 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Mike RodakVerified account @mikerodak 7m7 minutes ago More Something to keep in mind: Mike Tolbert and Patrick DiMarco have the same agent. They signed in Buffalo knowing there'd be roles for both.
WGBillsFan Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 To me these cuts seem that Beane and McDermott are making it personal about getting rid of Whaley and Rex players instead of making smart football decisions.
JM2009 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 This seems like the first FO/regime that doesn't value the running back position as much as the previous ones. And that makes me extremely happy. Doesn't seem like they value WRs either.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Exactly, This move also is completely contrary to what I understood was their philosophy . . . oops, I mean process. These greenhorns are FOS. McDermott and his "earn the right to make the team" talk is hogwash. You cannot tell me that the players don't see through this BS.
Rico Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 To me these cuts seem that Beane and McDermott are making it personal about getting rid of Whaley and Rex players instead of making smart football decisions. Maybe it's a directive from Pegs.
FreddieJizzle22 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) Doesn't seem like they value WRs either. Not as much as Doug Whaley, of course. Edited September 3, 2017 by FreddieJizzle22
KOKBILLS Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I've most definitely been a McD and Beane backer...But this make zero sense to me...It's nuts...
GunnerBill Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 I think it is now two of my bolds in..... trade Sammy and cut JWill.
YoloinOhio Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 They like Banyard better I guess... I like both. We will see how it works out.
JMF2006 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) This one blows me away. I don't think he even fumbled in PS., BTW I will eat my crow on this one. Edited September 3, 2017 by JMF2006
dezertbill Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 (edited) The only sane reason behind this would be a failed drug test and suspension coming down the pike. Or a major legal situation. Or they have successfully claimed someone (or two) on waivers that are an upgrade. Otherwise this is just ridiculous. Edited September 3, 2017 by dezertbill
26CornerBlitz Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 The only sane reason behind this would be a failed drug test and suspension coming down the pike. Or a major legal situation. Otherwise this is just ridiculous. Nope. It's a player personnel decision and a bad one at that.
