Bangarang Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 What don't you like about him exactly? His accuracy and decision making. Quote
JaCrispy Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 His accuracy and decision making. exactly...with our new WCO, we require that in boatloads more than ever. Quote
metzelaars_lives Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 (edited) His accuracy and decision making. He is extremely accurate. Again, his completion % last year is very, very deceiving. Look at how many receptions his running backs had last year. He throws accurate footballs. I would concede that he has a bit of a "gunslinger" mentality that can lead to a boneheaded interception from time to time. Edited September 2, 2017 by metzelaars_lives Quote

And that opinion goes beyond his completion percentage. Â You won't convince me that he some extremely accurate passer when the games I've watched tells me otherwise. Quote
Rico Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Should've stuck with Maryland-Texas, oh well. Let's see what he does in the 2nd half. Quote
YoloinOhio Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 This is the first full game of him I have seen. I can absolutely see at this stage why he is polarizing.Cant argue with his 66 yards in the 1st half! Quote

It was a fun season, right? That Boise State game was insane. The MWC Championship game was great too- tough loss. I was at both of those. How about the comeback win against San Diego State? That wild triple OT game at UNLV?? Gentry made some insane catches that game, huh? Looking like he'll stick with the Bears. Edited September 2, 2017 by metzelaars_lives Quote

Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 He just hasn't impressed me BB. The play that was called offensive holding the ball fluttered. The sideline throw at the start of the drive was inaccurate his receiver had to come back and half dive for it negating YAC potential and he was wide open the D was playing way off. Edit: and I have no preference for spread v pro-style. I just don't think Allen has looked impressive here so far. Missed the 1st drive. He is having a hard go with it, not a fan of all the out routes called and the QB run options. They need to use more of the field and its clear Iowa has better players. Hard for Allen to look good running for his life. Quote

Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 He'll be on someone's PS at worst. Maybe ours This Stanley kid looks sharp, maybe in a few . ( I swear if we don't get a QB this year I'm going to lose it.) Quote
CEN-CAL17 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Their offensive scheme is rediculous!!!! Â Seriously read option??!!!! Â Spread it out and let him sling the ball from Shotgun!!! Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 He was just crazy high on a swing pass. I am not writing the kid off but this has not been a good game so far. Quote
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 Allen must love those out routes Their offensive scheme is rediculous!!!! Seriously read option??!!!! Spread it out and let him sling the ball from Shotgun!!! They don't run the spread, pro style offense Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 See the drop there by the #13 that one I will give him. It was a nice throw and a drop. Metz's defense of him stands on that play. Quote
Buffalo716 Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Has a shot to be the next Big Ben IMO Physically yes  Mentally not sure.  Big Ben was leaps and bounds above him as of today at Miami OH. He was more decisive , and more accurate.  Hopefully Allen improves a lot so he is in that category Quote
GunnerBill Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 The young Iowa QB is raw bur he definitely has something. Quote
Buffalo Barbarian Posted September 2, 2017 Author Posted September 2, 2017 Easley to the patriots to replace Edelman. Quote
buffaloboyinATL Posted September 2, 2017 Posted September 2, 2017 Allen's stock is dropping like a lead balloon Quote
