OldTimeAFLGuy Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 @JonScottTV For a team that's lacked significant talent up and down the roster for years, the #Bills sure do love their "special teams guys" @thadbrown7 29 of 53 players on current #Bills roster were not in Buffalo last year. 55% turnover in one season. That's some quality roster churn. ....these ST'ers sure as hell better be able to play their natural positions when called upon...Bobby April had too much say in the final 53 and the majority of his guys were one dimensional.....injury bu(s) struck and we were screwed......thought I read 23 on last year's roster were one year deals (rentals.....)......
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 17 seasons of the same old 💩 and now that we see a definitive change aka churn it's bad. Oye
eball Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 (edited) Actually someone just asked Saban about special teams on the 10th of August. Pretty boring response. What are we supposed to get from it? "I think we have work to do there, I really do, Saban said. I think the timing of what were doing, not only with the specialists but also with the other special teams players, whether its operation time, whether its blocking schemes, all these things were working really hard on." Did you watch the Alabama/Clemson game Saturday night? Bama's ST made all the difference in that game. Edited September 4, 2017 by eball
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 This guy Rosen blows. He said before the end of the game. Further proof Scott is an idiot
26CornerBlitz Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 @SalSports Looks like Bills will head into season with roughly $7M in available cap space, barring unforeseen move, according to info received
Wayne Arnold Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 A lot of people thought Clay did enough to earn a spot. Just came down to a numbers game. You mean the Panthers 53-man roster? Clay did make it.
26CornerBlitz Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 @AaronWilson_NFL Former Texans outside linebacker Eric Lee has a workout with the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, according to a league source
Captain_Quint Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 @SalSports Bills sign CB Rosé Fattbutt and LB Cliff Redcorn to futures contracts.
Magox Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 @SalSports Bills sign CB Rosé Fattbutt and LB Cliff Redcorn to futures contracts. Huhu huhu he said fattbutt
Straight Hucklebuck Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 @buffalobills "It's not about bringing in our guys. We want good people and good football players that embrace what this city is all about." #OneBuffalo Remember when Marrone came in trumpeting the same line?
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 @SalSports Bills sign CB Rosé Fattbutt and LB Cliff Redcorn to futures contracts. Got another link. I see nothing else on this.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Remember when Marrone came in trumpeting the same line? Marrone sucks. Does McDermott suck? That's yet to be determined. Got another link. I see nothing else on this.
Straight Hucklebuck Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Marrone sucks. Does McDermott suck? That's yet to be determined. McDermott has not been impressive thus far. Just like Marrone he sounded that way the first time I heard him speak to the Buffalo media. Sean's done it all, seen it all, knows it all. If you have a story he.can top it. Ole' Topper McDermott.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Oh, no? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3fLI1tn_VNo I liked his TJ Graham-esque jump for a ball that was delivered perfectly in stride. The ability to track the ball while feet are moving is what you want in a deep threat........but our WR corps is so slow this is an absolute upgrade.
BADOLBILZ Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 its just MUD (Made Up Drama) I sat out every road game in Chan year one and I don't think I made it thru an entire HOME game that year without heading back to the tailgate......I just watched it all on DVR over the course of a couple days after the season. So, at least on my end.......it's not made up. If the product is poor I will not sweat it in real time and neither will a lot of people. The fact that you can't resist doesn't make it made-up-drama. That said.......much like early in Jauron year one.......I really liked what I saw from the play Thursday night........very crisp, efficient play from a bunch of guys who haven't been getting much work. That speaks well to the kind of practice coach that McDermott is. People forget how THRILLED the fanbase was with what Jauron did year one.....people were expecting a 2-4 win team.......he was head coach of the year material for cleaning up Mularkey's slop..........but as I said then.......THAT was the time to replace him with someone who could build upon that. Dickie had one trick and he had proven that. Hopefully McDermott has more up his sleeve but if he simply cleans up the undisciplined play and wins 7 games....including some tight ones...... with sound fundamental football........he will develop a small but loyal following despite the continued mediocrity. Prediction: if JWill isn't claimed today, a suspension gets announced soon. There has to be more to this story. Actually........watching that preseason finale........I thought the difference between JWill and Banyard in terms of doing what the offense asked was pretty clear. Banyard isn't nearly as dangerous but he consistently does the little things the right way. Apparently they value that over scoring potential. Unfortunately, we've seen how important big plays are when you can't protect the passer or when your QB and WR talent isn't good enough to dissect a defense........that's when they are HUGE.
Wayne Arnold Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 McDermott has not been impressive thus far. Just like Marrone he sounded that way the first time I heard him speak to the Buffalo media. Sean's done it all, seen it all, knows it all. If you have a story he.can top it. Ole' Topper McDermott. *Note to self: whatever 'Straight Hucklebuck' thinks...think the opposite*
26CornerBlitz Posted September 4, 2017 Author Posted September 4, 2017 Roster turnover a necessary part of McDermott's process Widespread change to Buffalo's roster was inevitable under new head coach Sean McDermott. But it wasn't done to appease the man in charge. It was done with an eye toward achieving long-term sustained success for the team.
vincec Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 McDermott has not been impressive thus far. Just like Marrone he sounded that way the first time I heard him speak to the Buffalo media. Sean's done it all, seen it all, knows it all. If you have a story he.can top it. Ole' Topper McDermott. In all fairness, every coach comes into Buffalo sounding like that. The beauty of pro sports is that the talk is worthless because you can see the results on the field. We'll see if McDermott can do anything.

The Frankish Reich Posted September 5, 2017 Posted September 5, 2017 (edited) So we have 4 QBs and 3 S on the roster... Are you sure Webb can't play safety? http://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/scott-fowler/article165791497.html Flexibility. Versatility. Mediocrity. It's the new mantra.
