That they probably are assuming they'll pick a WR off of waivers might have factored into cutting Reilly now - knowing if they kept him on now, he would be the first to go. Also wonder if there's a thought might be easier for a player to get through waivers now with the massve 1100+ cut vs releasing someone after the waiver period where there will be more visibility

This makes more sense. Every team tries to sneak a guy or two onto the ps. Reilly earned a shot.

And if we had a competent D which it looks like we could have a very good one, we win 10+ games The last two years playing"70s" football..

We have an ELITE running game

Sure we will ha ha ha been saying THAT for past 17 years too.

Making a big deal over a fringe WR being cut after a good camp and preseason. What about Thompson and the other kid from last summer. They both looked fantastic and got cut and went into do nothing. Did either of them even play in an NFL game?

Preseason is no time to judge WR's abilities while toasting up on scrubs.

But thats why you have Tolbert. So which one is it

Dimarco is the best blocking FB in the league, and like it or not the Bills run the ball. Plus he can catch passes. He and Tobert bring two guys with versatility, short yardage, receiving, blocking. With Shady and J Will they look just fine.

Cool then lets load up on more RBs. Maybe invest in a time machine and go to an era that type of play wins consistently

If the D last year played half decently we make the playoffs.

He, and others, are bitching about backups. They are now crusading and trolling their opinion over BACKUPS repeatedly. The wailing over Riley is as bad as when Watkins got traded.

This is the biggest issue with Bills fans. They cling to feel good stories and ignore these guys are backups at best. Thank God Beane is here and will clean out the feel good, and start putting real talent on the team over time.

Backups are also considered depth. Something this team has lacked for a long time.

I get where you are coming from, but Reilly stood out for route-running, hand and toughness whereas Brown and Holmes didn't whatsoever. If the team doesn't value preseason play, why have a preseason with which to evaluate players?

This was not going to be a winning season. The sooner fans come to grip with this, the better it will be. We are rebuilding which is why I do not understand TT Still being here but whatever

TT is the starting QB of this team. The sooner you come to grips with this, the better it will be.

Agreed. Last time I was happy for a scrub WR to make the Bills was Clarence "Choo Choo" Coleman, that didn't turn out very well at all.

They are not accumulating talent to win football games. They instead appear to be building a boyscout troupe.

The fans continue to suffer as the Pegulas let underqualifed candidates learn on the job. I'm sure when McD starts his next coaching tenure he'll reflect ruefully over the learning experience he suffered through in his first HC gig when he over-prioritized intangibles over talent...

Yes, that's what they are doing 😂
