Buffalo_Gal
Definitely seeing Kingsman: The Golden Circle. If it is half as good as the first one, it will be worth the price of admission. Hubby and I saw this tonight. It was about half as good. For a movie with so much action, it had a lot of slow spots. And, they did the impossible. Channing Tatum looked less than hot in that bowler and suit. Did not think it possible for him to be anything but smokin'. The next one should be interesting (and yes, I will go see it when it comes out).
Pine Barrens Mafia
I saw kingsmen and loved it. Campy and fun with more American stereotypes than you can shake a stick at
Mark Vader
Much better dialogue than the original. The one part I didn't like was Eddie's mom. She needed to be more high-strung, which compliments her controlling nature. In this movie, they portrayed her as lazy and it conflicted with the rest of her personality, so it wasn't believable. The rest of the movie I loved. Holy hell. Pennywise was so creepy. The monster's lair was well-done. The gore wasn't over-the top. The music was great. The pace was just about perfect. Definitely excited for the sequel. Saw IT as well and maybe its just me, but I exoectred it to be a little more scarier. Dont get me wrong, lots of creepy scenes and scary moments. I also thought that there was a tad too much CGI used and it kinda took away from some scenes. I thought they did an amazing job of making Henry Bowers so evil. I was really impressed. Also loved the subtle comedy relief moments with Richie I cant wait to see the sequel. CBF Alright, I finally saw "It" last night, and I wanted to use both of your comments as a basis for my review. LeGOATski, I agree with you on the dialogue, it was great. The child actors all did a very good job. I see your point about Eddie's mom, you did not get the sense of how controlling she really was. Pennywise was very creepy, although he was mostly scary as the leper, Yikes! The look of Pennywise's lair was great. Canadian Bills Fan, this movie was more creepy than scary, and I agree with you on the use of CGI. It was used a little too much. Watching Pennywise shake and twitch as much as he did, just didn't add to him being scary, and I found that to be more distracting. Agree with you on Henry Bowers, he was portrayed greatly as one of those Stephen King antagonistic characters that just comes off as downright wicked. Overall this was a very good movie. The kids were great, loved the pacing, not a very scary film, but good on the creepy delivery.
