Webster Guy Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Roscoe Parrish, Corey Moore, Keith Ellison, Leonard Smith, Shaud Williams, Marcus Stroud, the healthy Sam Cowart, Marvcus Patton, and also touchdown elvis guest star Mike TD Gillislee the best backup runner in this freaking league (maybe tied with Coleman for Atl)
RevWarRifleman Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Pete Metzelaars and Aaron Schoble come to mind. Scott Radezec filling in at LB was a good back up.
reddogblitz Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Antowain Smith George Wilson Flutie - on most teams he wouldn't count, but around here he does.
dwight in philly Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) Roger Kochman. outstanding Back out of Penn state.. ended up with a bad injury.. had a couple of toes amputated as a result.. was on the way to a great career.. hands down.. fits the answer to the OP question.. IMHO Edited August 29, 2017 by dwight in philly
DC Tom Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Gabe Northern...yes because I thought he was going to be a star when I watched him at LSU. I was like 13 when he was drafted and gave him every benefit out a doubt because I was immature. I'd excuse you, because I was an idiot when I was 13, too. But this board doesn't even excuse 13 year old idiots. So you're not excused, you idiot.

row_33 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Brewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww was another to yell out on 3rd downs, but for the short yardage.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 ...oops...NO disrespect to House Ballard, an 11th round pick.....for you youngins', the draft used to be SEVENTEEN rounds....1971 17th round pick, #441 was Don "The Human Bowling Ball" Nottingham from Kent State.....honorable Bills mention to the one and only.....Bennie Ricardo...........
26CornerBlitz Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Haven Moses Another horrible trade. Yeah Dwight Harrison didn't really pan out for the Bills.
Fadingpain Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 I think of him as a very, very good player. I think if you polled Bills fans here or anywhere, Butler would (regrettably) not be in the top 20 or 30 all time Bills in a vote like that, even though he was great for a short time and had an unfortunate injury. Same with Romes who was one of the top 5 players at his position in all of football but younger Bills fans wouldn't think of him or even know of him. Butler was most certainly a star on the team in his era. As was Frank Lewis, to name another on your list of "non-stars".
Kelly the Dog Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Butler was most certainly a star on the team in his era. As was Frank Lewis, to name another on your list of "non-stars". A star on your team is different than a star player or a star in the league. Both were great players. Frank Lewis had star talent that was never given the accolades due, on either the Steelers or the Bills. Made incredible catches look routine. I was thinking more of players not given credit for being stars more than totally unsung guys that you liked, like Roland Hooks.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Bryce Paup. He was definitely a star when he was here, at least the first season. 17.5 sacks and Defensive Player of the Year. First team all pro. Three years in pro bowl.
