Boatdrinks Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 this is actually working out perfectly. as long as Beane drafts well. in NFL, you need to get worse before you can get better. dumping dareus' contract would be huge, but run stuffing 3 techniques aren't really as important as they were 10 years ago. edge rushers and creative blitz schemes are what you need.. so I think they are stuck with dareus That's why Dareus had so much success in the DT spot in 2014. Wasn't ten years ago. Greatly helped the edge rush. Anyway, no reason to get worse to get better. If McBeane jettison all young players from previous regime, that means they will have to dumpster dive with lower round picks acquired in trades. Where 2nd 1st and 3rd round picks formerly were, you will have 4th and 5ths. Are McBeane so much smarter than every other GM/ HC out there ? That they will put together a few of the best drafts in NFL history , hitting on nearly every pick including late rounders? Hopefully they have some Bill Polian in them, I wouldn't hold my breath.
Seasons1992 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 (edited) I have always received far better receptions in opponents stadiums and cities. I've had numerous offers to trade jerseys and hats in Seattle, KC, Chicago and Oakland. We are definitely amongst the downtrodden franchises, but I find we are often respected for our passionate fan-base and our ability to remain as such. I sat to a self-proclaimed "mass hole" Saturday at the local watering hole. He said the same thing, about how passionate we are despite our run of terrible-ness. Edited August 29, 2017 by Seasons1992
