Buffalo716 Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 What a game vs Georgetown! CUSE showing lots of heart with the comeback Tyus Battle coming up in the clutch!
Greybeard Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 SU just pulled off a great come behind victory in OT on National TV. I thought for sure they pulled a Bills thing and fouled with less than a second in regulation time with the game tied but somehow they did not. For a team that looked pretty lack luster early, they sure turned it on at the end.

Tip balls, rebounding, hustle plays And Tyus Battle is The dagger Edited December 16, 2017 by Buffalo716
The Poojer Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 what a gritty game...did not think they were going to pull that off. Brissette, Howard and Doleczay(sp) really put the team on their backs. Battle sucked for most of the second half but made some really clutch plays late. Moyer also looked very good. Georgetown played a very tough defensive game, all the criticism about their SOS is unwarranted.

Dolezaj is gonna become one of my favorite Orangeman over the next 4 years every winning team needs a non selfish player like Dolezaj hes gonna be really good 1
The Poojer Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 and he's only gonna get better than what he is now.....wow!!!!! Hes tall, can pass, high basketball IQ and has nice touch on his jumper he is easily the most underrated player on the team. He had a hard fall earlier which woulda knocked dudes out of the game and he came back right away lol
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 Great win, boys! agreed on Dolezaj. Just imagine when he puts on another 20 pounds and develops a more consistent shot. I was was really impressed with Brisett too. Nothing was going his way inside today, but he scrapped and then started hitting those 3s. Moyer is an explosive athlete— jumps through the roof. Just wish he could give us more on offense. By by the way, loved seeing Patrick Ewing coaching out there. Really smart strategic moves, especially on Defense. Going zone was really smart; same with getting his guys to push the ball more.

Completely agree about Moyer. He literally jumps through the roof. So explosive i was wondering if it was just me or if other people saw Moyer levitating as he leaves his feet Brissett has a grown man spin move that is easily NBA quality . And he caught fire from distance cant wait til Dolezaj put on some more muscle!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 By the way, I thought the officiating was really dreadful. Lot of just flat out wrong calls.

They definitely don't let them play the physical big east ball they used to play I was cringing when that ref called that rebounding call with no time left! i was like your giving them the game! CUSE is in double bonus!

CUSE is in double bonus! That would have been the worst call of all time, especially since they let brissett get hacked on the put back to win the game 2 seconds earlier. Even the block/charge that fouled out that Georgetown player and went our way, was a terrible call. How do you miss that? Wasn’t even close. there was also a steal by a gtown player where he hammered dolejez. It was a critical play down the stretch and could have been the game. just noticed a lot of errors.
Bray Wyatt Posted December 16, 2017 Posted December 16, 2017 I said earlier in this thread I love me some dolezaj and he keeps proving why! He plays scrappy, but can still pass and not be a liability on the offensive end. Somehow didn’t foul out, played a long time with 4 fouls. Howard and Brissett played well and kept us in it most of the second half until battle came on strong at the end, good team effort!

Yep it was a sloppy game But I'll take it... this team has an identity and it will win with gritty defense and tenacity 1 minute ago, Bray Wyatt said: I said earlier in this thread I love me some dolezaj and he keeps proving why! Watch ESPN freezes up on my television. I have really good internet too. I don’t know why it does that. There is also no volume during commercials. Weird.
