YoloinOhio Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 No friggin way. Shoot me. He has looked really good so far this year imo
dorquemada Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 (edited) Not surprised. He really doesn't fit the new scheme. This is what sucks about switching schemes every couple years... I hate helping KC this season though. He fits great into their scheme and could be a difference maker. I know the narrative is that Ragland was a bad fit for the system, but I'm just not seeing that he showed anything to make us think that was the issue, rather than that he's just not a quality NFL LB. I'm a huge bama fan and was ready to buy a ragland jersey after the bills drafted him, but sometimes they just dont turn out like you want/expect. I'm glad they got a 4th in return, we're washing the stink of whaley and rex from this team for sure. Edited August 28, 2017 by dorquemada
Woodman19 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I know people are always mad about everything because losing is all you know, but at least there is a clear plan in place and it's a long term plan.
RyanC883 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 don't mind the move, but if it's a 4th it should be next year. A 3rd if having to wait till 2019. Or at least the ability for it to become a 3rd based on performance. A flat-out 4th seems low, but sometimes you can find a good pick in that round.
PABillsfan23 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Im not going to defend the move at this time...I still think we should have given him time to develop/come back from the major injury Preston Brown is clearly better than him. He didn't have a fit in this 4-3. No reason to hold on to him really.
KHAN Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I think you are correct. Which leads me to believe that the Bills aren't interested in filling those spots with the cut down coming in a few days. They will likely sign a QB for Thursday.

DJB Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 The Bills site says it's a conditional pick. I wonder if he becomes an all-Pro that it becomes a 3rd or 2nd rounder. The guy was a huge talent coming out of Alabama. That talent will not go away. It just needs to be in the right position. Probably conditional in whether he makes the team or not
John from Riverside Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 A fourth for a second rounder. Lol If you choose to look at it that way
PolishDave Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Im not going to defend the move at this time...I still think we should have given him time to develop/come back from the major injury I think it was Kelso who said it was unrealistic for fans to think Ragland is completely healed from his injury. He said it would take this season to get him back to pre-surgery football.

flmike Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 What kind of value did you want for a 3rd stringer coming off injury who's never played a professional down? ^^^^^^ This.
CommonCents Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Anyone blaming the scheme on Ragland's level of play is distorting the truth a bit. Sure a 3-4 would help him a bit, but his play speaks for itself. He moves like he has bricks strapped to his feet. No room for this guy in 2017.
MAJBobby Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 He should have DOMINATED the guys that are about to be insurance salesmen in the 1st two games. He didnt. Buh bye.
Jauronimo Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 agree with this. Rather than just cutting him, we at least got something. We could also trade Shady for a condition 2nd rounder in 2022, rather than just cut him but I don't think those are our only options.
buffaloaggie Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 All we can be sure of is that the 2019 QB class will be better than 2018. We'll get Darnold whether he comes out in '18 or '19. Ragland will go on to stardom with the Chiefs, and the Bills will keep rebuilding with those stockpiled picks.
PolishDave Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I'd be good with extending Brown. He has actually looked pretty darn good in this scheme. He has looked really good so far this year imo He is far better against the run than he is against the pass. It is a passing league. I suspect he will be one of the biggest weaknesses on defense this year. And I suspect Beane will be drafting a MLB high next year. Wait for the regular season.
aristocrat Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Wasn't gonna make the roster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
par73 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 2019? Part of the process, I guess. Long, slow rebuild.
McNubbins Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 This is fine. Get something for a PS player? Sounds good.
