Kelly the Dog Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Bills are "winning" the draft pick game. We have a head start on winning the 2019 offseason.
What a Tuel Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 So that was a sweet trade up for the Bills. Reggie Ragland cost them a second round pick, and 2 fourth round picks. Parlayed that into 0 games played and 1 fourth round pick in 2019. Maybe it's a fine trade for what he is worth (which appears to be about nothing), but it certainly is quite the indictment on that 2016 selection. Geez. How can they possibly justify that?
kirkwoodus13 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 KC wins again. got QB and now middle linebacker for the future. Thanks Sean. Andy Reid must be Mcdermitt DAD
Gavin in Va Beach Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I do. The 2019 fourth round pick stands a 9.36% chance of becoming a decent NFL starter or contributor by 2021 and beyond. So you're saying there's a chance...
Mrbojanglezs Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Geez. How can they possibly justify that? This regime didn't draft Ragland so they won't have to justify it. This is the problem with changing between 3-4 and 4-3 so often like the Bills have over last couple years
BillsFan4 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 At least they got something for Ragland. Definitely better than just cutting him. I'd have preferred to be patient with him, or at least to trade him anywhere but KC. They probably couldn't get anything from him from another team though.

This is the problem with changing between 3-4 and 4-3 so often like the Bills have over last couple years It doesn't matter. You deal with the guy or get more for him. It is a ridiculous trade. Edit: A ridiculous trade to a team we want to do poorly this year. Edited August 28, 2017 by What a Tuel
dorquemada Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Any of you Draftniks have some insight on the 2019 draft class? Jalen Hurts. Might come out this year but probably not.
YoloinOhio Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 @spotrac The #Bills clear $715,517 in 2017 cap by trading LB Reggie Ragland to the #Chiefs, a move that makes Preston Brown an extension candidate.

This is the problem with changing between 3-4 and 4-3 so often like the Bills have over last couple years Yup, exactly. I said this in the other Ragland thread. This is why it sucks changing schemes every couple of years and why I want McDermott to be here for at least 4-5 years. I want to actually see the Bills be able to build something for once, without changing visions 2-3 years in...
GoBills808 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Or its an indictment of the trade and the value it netted. What kind of value did you want for a 3rd stringer coming off injury who's never played a professional down?

For those asking how you justify this trade...
Mark Vader Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 i actually think we have 2. Still have Boldin's, right? I think you are correct. Which leads me to believe that the Bills aren't interested in filling those spots with the cut down coming in a few days.

John from Riverside Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Im not going to defend the move at this time...I still think we should have given him time to develop/come back from the major injury
PABillsfan23 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I bet he becomes a star in Kansas City. Highly doubtful
TC in St. Louis Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 The Bills site says it's a conditional pick. I wonder if he becomes an all-Pro that it becomes a 3rd or 2nd rounder. The guy was a huge talent coming out of Alabama. That talent will not go away. It just needs to be in the right position.
