Mark Vader Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Forget the Practice Squad, Brandon Reilly should make the active roster. He's made plays in the limited time he's seen this preseason. I also question that fumble they called tonight. Looked to me like his butt was on the ground before the ball came out. I've been more impressed by him than guys like Dezmin Lewis, Philly Brown, and even Daikiel Shorts.
Wayne Arnold Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 If Streater is out then I think Reilly is the fourth best WR on the roster.
Mark Vader Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 If Streater is out then I think Reilly is the fourth best WR on the roster. Even if Streater is good to go, we should still keep Reilly.
BmarvB Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 He's earned a spot on the team by making the most of his few opportunities. The fumble shouldn't hurt his chances much. It's a lesson in ball security that will only help him as he continue to develop.
JM57 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Depends on the Streater injury. I expect them to pick someone up after roster cuts. If Streater goes to IR, there's still an available slot
Marty McFly Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I also been putting Reilly over. Made plays and we noticed. Give him his shot. WR Roster Matthews Jones Holmes Tate Reilly Shorts IR/Suspended Streater Powell
outsidethebox Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I also been putting Reilly over. Made plays and we noticed. Give him his shot. WR Roster Matthews Jones Holmes Tate Reilly Shorts IR/Suspended Streater Powell When I look at that list. I find myself very underwhelmed.
4merper4mer Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 When I look at that list. I find myself very underwhelmed. Not tanking.
Mark Vader Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 When I look at that list. I find myself very underwhelmed. It's all we've got for now.
Sig1Hunter Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Consider me a Reilly fan. That sideline catch was nice.
jr1 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 he averaged 18,2 yards per catch in college. Not bad
KOKBILLS Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Really like the kid... And he was not bad at Nebraska...It not a huge surprise to me that he flashing a bit...
buffaloboyinATL Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 When I look at that list. I find myself very underwhelmed.I think many are undervaluing Matthews but I agree, not a lot of "name brand" there.
YoloinOhio Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 Don't forget he's used to catching passes from Tommy Armstrong who is similar in style to Tyrod.
thunderingsquid Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 If he's a character guy then yes he will make the cut.
Mark Vader Posted August 27, 2017 Author Posted August 27, 2017 Consider me a Reilly fan. That sideline catch was nice. Too bad Brian Billick missed it
HappyDays Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I think past regimes would have let him go despite his preseason, but since this is a new regime trying to build a culture of winning and earning your spot I bet he makes it.
