Jamie Nails Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Hmmmm. I like it, but a little odd. Hopefully the hit is manageable
EmotionallyUnstable Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Is it possible they are extending him to lower is cap him and then release him?
Boatdrinks Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Don't know about this. Is the new zone blocking system one he can excel in? I have reservations about this. Good for him , I didn't see this coming though.
Woodman19 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 If I had to guess, it would be to keep him as a good veteran backup for next year and spreading this year's bonus over 2 years

Interesting to see the numbers and see what they do with him and Groy.... if they are both in your best 5 I think you have to think how you get them on the field. Edited August 26, 2017 by GunnerBill
boyst Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Is it possible they are extending him to lower is cap him and then release him?that was my second thought. First was "why?" Of course, why made sense after listening to Baghdad Brown. They said he signed this last minute before the game. This was right after they sent Dareus home. Now they can spin it that if you buy in you're rewarded. If not you're sent home.
BillsFanForever19 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 The only thing I don't like about this is that I kept hearing we'll probably have to choose between him and Richie next year. Hopefully, that's not the case and there's enough room for both.
Kelly the Dog Posted August 26, 2017 Author Posted August 26, 2017 If I had to guess, it would be to keep him as a good veteran backup for next year and spreading this year's bonus over 2 years I'm pretty sure it's with the idea that he is going to be the starter. No way he signed a two year extension a week before the contract season unless it's for starter money.
