Helpmenow Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Donald jones said with Murphy he has a lot potential. It seems like he doesn't care all that much when he is pulling 16 million a yr
Kelly the Dog Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 What rule? Social media? Just curious Actively wanting to captain The Love Boat.
Boatdrinks Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Joe I am with you. I dont think I would have sent him home. I think I would have kept it quiet and traded his ass for anything I could have got this week. It would fit a pattern of trading their best players. Sounds like a great move
KellyToughII Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Would just like to know what he did I am not posting this in a jerk way John but who cares? If the team has established rules you follow them, I don't care who you are. This team has lacked Discipline for a long time
Kelly the Dog Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Joe I am with you. I dont think I would have sent him home. I think I would have kept it quiet and traded his ass for anything I could have got this week. And lose twenty million in dead money?
Helpmenow Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I wonder how Bruce, Jimbo, Thurmond, and Biscuit would have done with this Coach?? those guys worked hard not fatso
RaoulDuke79 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 If McDermott was the Bills coach in the mid-80s, the Bills Super Bowl years never would have happened. His 'team rules' would have ended the Buffalo careers of Smith, Kelly, and Thomas before they began. McDermott better figure out how to coach difficult personalities or he won't be around long. Nobody pays to watch 'culture,' or 'the process,' or a 'system.' They pay to watch great players maximize their potential to make great plays to win games. You can't let the inmates run the asylum. Some say. Do you think these constant screw ups would be tolerated in belichicks system ?
Boatdrinks Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Actively wanting to captain The Love Boat. Well, that should violate some kind of Man Law
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 What rule? Social media? Just curious
Kelly the Dog Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 those guys worked hard not fatso All reports so far this year are that Dareus has worked extremely hard, from a few different coaches and a couple players.
BilLions Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 After the penalties last week, I am very skeptical of McDermott. They say he is hard nosed and won't deal this this type of behavior, but does he really have a track record to show he will deal with this effectively?
NoSaint Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 McD = younger version of Belichick. Hopefully not McDaniels
BringBackFergy Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 You can't let the inmates run the asylum. Some say. Do you think these constant screw ups would be tolerated in belichicks system ? Excellent post. Fully agree. Marcell is an "individual talent"...not sure he's part of a team.
Boatdrinks Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Still don't know what this rule is . Any enlighteners ?

YoloinOhio Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Reminds me of when Gase left Ajayi home for game 1 last year because he went off on a coach.
BillsFan4 Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 I'll be very interested to see if anything comes out about the team rule he broke. I'm guessing that there's good reason behind it. Maybe it wasn't a serious violation, it could be that he just felt Dareus needed to have a message sent to him. I like that McDermott is trying to instill some discipline in this team though. He doesn't seem like a total hard ass dick head who's just going to scream and yell at the players for no real reason either. Or a control freak (Marrone type) who's going to set rules that really make no sense (like what color/type of socks to wear). From what I can tell he seems understanding and caring, while at the same time not willing to tolerate nonsense. He seems to be waking that fine line between players coach and disciplinarian pretty well, from what I've seen/heard anyway.
NoSaint Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Reminds me of when Gase left Ajayi home for game 1 last year because he went off on a coach. Without knowing what it was, it's hard to compare to anything
Kelly the Dog Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Still don't know what this rule is . Any enlighteners ? They haven't said yet. May not although it will likely come out tonight or tomorrow. Chances are high he was late for a meeting. If it was something last night it wouldn't have happened/been learned at 5pm, they would have sent him back earlier today.
