SoCal Deek Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I can't believe that his Contract doesn't allow the franchise an 'out' for poor behavior OUTSIDE of football. What idiot employer would agree to that kind of a deal? This is where the Teams have to be able to petition the League.
Gunsgoodtime Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 He was probably late. He had issues with that when Marrone was here. Things were pretty lax with ol' Rex so maybe some old habits crept back up on him. It is known that you have lethal twos, my man. Kudos to you for having your **** together. Some do, some don't. I do empathize with the guy and with anyone who's been dealt a tough hand in life. That stuff screws with your head and can really interfere in how you want to conduct yourself in your day to day life. Thank you and I don't disagree with you. Its just a matter of who you are and how you handle it, everyone is different. Unfortunately I just don't think Dareus is one who handles it well, and it hurts me to say that because I know he is a great player
3rdand12 Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I do feel for the guy but it's difficult to defend him. He seriously has no one to guide him and very little family. Most of his close friends were guys who were getting into trouble a lot and he's (as far as we know) closed himself off from that type of crowd. He says his teammates are his family but they can only do so much for him. And if they are his family, then you'd think he'd learn to stop disappointing them with senseless, selfish acts. When he's on, he's a really good player. I hope it's a minor setback and he can get past it. Kyle Williams has said on several occasions that this is the most focused, in-shape and ready to buy-in version of Dareus he's seen yet. I hope that continues. And for what it's worth, I heard the rule he violated was doing a number two on the team bus. Everyone knows you can only do number one on the bus. Bus plumbing just isn't equipped for two's. /s so you are saying he stinks up the joint? f that he knows he has the Team by the scrotum. he aint stupid and he aint working the angle of poor Kid any longer

Every single decision the bills make, they should ask themselves one question: "Would the pats do this?" SO, the question for whaley should have been would the pats have given out that contract? As much as despise the pats organization they seem to do everything right. Bills are the polar opposite of the pats. Edited August 27, 2017 by Albwan

Bills are the polar opposite of the pats. The Pats have done one thing right. Got unbelievably lucky on a sixth round draft pick. That's it. It has enabled them to do everything else that they do because they can. It doesn't mean it's right, it just means they can.
Helpmenow Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I really don't think he cares. At this point he's rich and I don't think football is a priority.. 60 million in the bank!! I'd say he doesn't give a crap
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I really don't think he cares. At this point he's rich and I don't think football is a priority. ....and why is this very to the point, simplistic assessment so hard to accept?....and why us Fat Albert Hayneswirth II an unfair analogy???...........The "Crisco Kids" have cashed.............
vincec Posted August 27, 2017 Posted August 27, 2017 I really don't think he cares. At this point he's rich and I don't think football is a priority. Sadly, this is the feeling I'm getting too.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Dareus: Things are crystal clear for me now Marcell Dareus addressed his misstep that earned him a trip home before the Bills preseason game in Baltimore.
Billsmovinup Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Dareus: Things are crystal clear for me now Things are clear now? How many incidents that we know of? What a load of crap.
KellyToughII Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 (edited) @MatthewFairburn Here's some of what Buffalo Bills DT Marcell Dareus said about his latest screw up: http://www.newyorkupstate.com/buffalo-bills/index.ssf/2017/08/what_buffalo_bills_dt_marcell_dareus_said_about_violating_team_rule.html LMAO Whatever. Dareus will tell him he is sorry, blah blah blah then screw off again, and again and again. Go half assed in most of his plays and still cash a check. Sorry this is very weak. Helpmenow Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Marcel doesn't wanna be here like lynch and Willis

NoSaint Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Things are clear now? How many incidents that we know of? What a load of crap. To be fair, we still don't know exactly what happened and where this went wrong. If, for instance, Rex let guys that were out with injury in the preseason roll in on their own and McD had a different expectation that was assumed to be known... that's way different than if MD said "screw that guy I'm doing whatever I want" MD gets very little benefit of the doubt but this could be pretty minor. Or incredibly defiant. We will see.
Best Player Available Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Can't run Dareus out of town despite his constant !@#$ ups. He's too good. True, it is crazy due to his contract. He can eff up off the field if he chooses. His stats suffered under the clown bros. But,until he starts taking plays off like M. Williams did constantly he is the best Dt the team has. Him and Kyle can be a force this year.

Let's hope he now realizes that he has to get in line. If not, he's going to have to deal with the consequences. Edited August 28, 2017 by BarleyNY

It's not like it should be a surprise at this point. I agree - but I think there's a range of "omg can you believe that he did that" and "oh, hopefully all is clear now" that is still possible. I.e. Is he actively defiant or mostly dumb/immature
buffaloaggie Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Watching the interview, I only get the feeling that Dareus disrespects the Coach. He just refers to him as "McDermott". Not Coach McDermott. This D line will fall apart once Kyle Williams retires. No veteran, no mature presence. Bills players said they lacked discipline under Ryan, now they can't take a disciplined approach, so it seems. This is a big setback after Williams said he's never seen Dareus more focused.
