buffaloboyinATL Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 My opinion is that this is a need for us and a 10 year vet available for a late round pick or as a roster cut pickup should be attractive to the Bills. Thoughts? (just saw it mentioned on Sports Center)
buffaloboyinATL Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 Why do we need a 3-4 Rush LBer again?he started his career as an inside LB and at this point I figured veteran depth might be needed.
MAJBobby Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 ILB is one position I am not worried about depth wise.
aristocrat Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Slide brown outside? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
MAJBobby Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Slide brown outside? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I don't think Brown is a WLB We are fine at SAM and MIKE it is the WILL I am worried about
Royale with Cheese Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I don't think Brown is a WLB We are fine at SAM and MIKE it is the WILL I am worried about didn't he play WLB with Schwartz in 2014? Spikes was our MLB and Bradham was out SLB.
Adam727 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 ~$6mil in salary cap space this year for a 33 yr old linebacker who'd be playing out of position? I'd pass. Would be a good pick-up for some other teams but not the 2017 Bills.
Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 didn't he play WLB with Schwartz in 2014? Spikes was our MLB and Bradham was out SLB. Correct, and he wasn't terrible there.
MAJBobby Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 didn't he play WLB with Schwartz in 2014? Spikes was our MLB and Bradham was out SLB. He was the Mike. Spikes didnt really get alot of snaps. Correct, and he wasn't terrible there. What was Spikes snap count again?
GG Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 He was the Mike. Spikes didnt really get alot of snaps. What was Spikes snap count again? 46% in 2014. Not as low as you think
Royale with Cheese Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) He was the Mike. Spikes didnt really get alot of snaps. What was Spikes snap count again? Spikes played 46% of the snaps. He was the Mike and Preston was the Will. In nickel, Spikes went off the field. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/10/24/lb-brown-emerging-as-starter/ Brown leads the team with 50 tackles so far this season. Preston wore the mic because he never came off the field. 43 Will And Nickel Mike
MAJBobby Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) 46% in 2014. Not as low as you think That is pretty low Spikes played 46% of the snaps. He was the Mike and Preston was the Will. In nickel, Spikes went off the field. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2014/10/24/lb-brown-emerging-as-starter/ Brown leads the team with 50 tackles so far this season. Because that was in October. Spikes lost more and more snaps as season went on. Go find a will not make an excuse to bring a player with a name in. Not to mention San Frans defense sucks so be skeptical when asking for someone off that defense. Fans just needs to accept this year what it is. A Transition Year and evaluation year. Milano and Vallejo playing is more important to the future than signing Brooks and changing everything around just to find him a spot Edited August 25, 2017 by MAJBobby
GG Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 That is pretty low Because that was in October. Spikes lost more and more snaps as season went on. It ebbed & flowed based on opponent. if they played a pass oriented team, Spikes' snaps were down
Royale with Cheese Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 That is pretty low That's exactly what a 2 down MLB plays since NFL defenses mostly play nickel. I'm thinking that if McDermott wants to keep Brown after this season, move him to the outside and draft a fast MLB.
Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 He was the Mike. Spikes didnt really get alot of snaps. What was Spikes snap count again? Doesn't matter. When his was in, he was the Mike, and Brown was on the outside. That is pretty low Because that was in October. Spikes lost more and more snaps as season went on. Go find a will not make an excuse to bring a player with a name in. Not to mention San Frans defense sucks so be skeptical when asking for someone off that defense. Fans just needs to accept this year what it is. A Transition Year and evaluation year. Milano and Vallejo playing is more important to the future than signing Brooks and changing everything around just to find him a spot I'm not for or against signing Brooks (I prefer not to, based on age/fit/contract), but I think the SF defense will improve considerably this year. They were banged up pretty bad last year, and their coaching sucked. Their line will be very good, and Bowman is back.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 He will go to a contender that has a need for exactly what he is- he won't be a Bill I am thinking
