RoyBatty is alive Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 His sister is severely handicapped and he has made extreme efforts for her entire life including building a house with an attached living quarters for her and a nursing assistant. He didn't go out to South beach and buy a Lamborghini with his rookie contract money and most importantly spends a lot of time with her/ True quality character. Shame it never really worked out in Buffalo, he was just too frail/and/or unlucky.
QB Bills Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Bit of a close talker. I can see how that may have rubbed McBean the wrong way.

I was really happy for him when SF gave him the contract they did.

swnybillsfan Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 everything i had heard of him told me he was a good guy. i always wanted him to succeed. i guess i still do. he seemed like a classy guy, just wasn't gifted with the natural size that is probably needed for the nfl life.
NoSaint Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Hard not to root for that guy👍 Yet so many manage to do it

Mark Vader Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 What a scene. Such a good guy, I wish him the best.
BillsFanM.D. Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 As a parent of a child with significant disabilities, I have a little extra 'love' for people like him. As was noted above, his time with this child is not a photo op. He walks with walk with his sister. From afar, he seems like a wonderful human being. Nothing but respect and well wishes. It sounds as if his greatest achievements have been, and will always be, off the football field. Considering he's one of the athletes that surpasses the lottery odds and makes it to the professional level... that's no small compliment.
KermitMcDermott Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Bit of a close talker. I can see how that may have rubbed McBean the wrong way. Nobody likes close talkers.
Heavy Kevi Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Bit of a close talker. I can see how that may have rubbed McBean the wrong way. Better that than a low talker... with man hands.
Dr.Sack Posted August 26, 2017 Posted August 26, 2017 Cool guy who went to Africa with Kaepernick this offseason for humanitarian mission & connecting with origins of slavery. Great men. And Goodwin is one helluva athlete.
