vincec Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 It's only preseason This only applies when Bills players are sucking. Not opponents.
JMF2006 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Not really pointing at Darby, but we gave up 98 Big Plays last year (>10 yard run, > 25 yard pass), which was 2nd most in the NFL. Let's hope this D scheme drops that # by 30 or more. Watch Bell run him over at least twice in Steelers game LY. Maybe he's not "on board" with the system in Philly. If thats the case Schwartz will throw him overboard fast.
oldmanfan Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 The vast majority of guts who have ever played pro football have good and bad games. Those who don't ever fall off get fitted for gold jackets.
NoSaint Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Remember when he was toast in the preseason as a rookie? Sometimes coaches put you in extreme matchups of weird situations in preseason because who cares what happens and you can learn from it. Likewise, sometimes it's an indicator that something's wrong
YoloinOhio Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Watch Bell run him over at least twice in Steelers game LY. If thats the case Schwartz will throw him overboard fast. Ajayi stiff armed him into NJ tonight
Beast Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 If is a wonderful word isn't it........but what you said didn't happen or can't happen You don't say?
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Too bad for darby. Meanwhile Dolphins WRs look stout.
Gunsgoodtime Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I knew this thread would be here. Darby may end up being great or a dud.....who knows? What I do know is his game was pretty bad last season. You also know the year before he was runner up for defensive player of the year. Most of our defensive players looked bad last year. Bad excuse Ajayi stiff armed him into NJ tonight Pushed us back to buffalo twice last year
John from Riverside Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Im trying to figure out why we need to slam on Darby or Watkins Neither one asked to be traded
SectionC3 Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Remember when he was toast in the preseason as a rookie? Sometimes coaches put you in extreme matchups of weird situations in preseason because who cares what happens and you can learn from it. Likewise, sometimes it's an indicator that something's wrong Good point. I think it was Funchess who destroyed Darby in the PS a few years ago (could be wrong), but the bills intentionally left Darby alone that night so the beating could deflate his ego.
San-O Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Great coverage all night really. But he got Mossed on a deep pass. Kinda looked like he might've mistimed his jump, but the replay showed he was only about an inch away from getting a hand on it. And yeah, a PI call. Obviously the Bills figured they didn't need him.
Paul Costa Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Darby seems like a good kid. Made some mistakes in College nothing major. Hope he does well.
Boatdrinks Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Im trying to figure out why we need to slam on Darby or Watkins Neither one asked to be traded Very true, John. Great post.
T-Bomb Posted August 25, 2017 Author Posted August 25, 2017 (edited) Im trying to figure out why we need to slam on Darby or Watkins Neither one asked to be traded It's not a slam on Darby as much as it is a poke in the eye to the butthurt fans who were all tragic-like about the trade. 4th&long Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 I've never seen a corner get beat. That's new.
Norwood for Wall of Fame Posted August 25, 2017 Posted August 25, 2017 Sure doesn't look as good when he is not playing us Aaron Maybin-esque
