NewEra Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 An appreciation thread for Joe. I know he's a dime a dozen RB but I really like the way we runs. Plants his foot and explodes while having decent toughness. I watched him a few times in preseason 2 or 3 years ago and was impressed. Still like him and I think he can help this team as a 3rd rb. I hated that Reggie Bush wore 22 last year but I'm ok with Joe. Seems like a long shot to make the team with us carrying dimarco and Tolbert but I'd like to see him stick. Do you guys like anything in his game or do you think he's just another guy?
NewEra Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 Has it always been an issue with him? I don't know enough about him to know. I just like the way he runs.

Mark Vader Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I'd keep him. I really think we will keep 5 RB's including FB's on the roster.
K D Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I think he makes it. He's the last one to make the cut imo
vincec Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Keep him and cut Tolbert if you only want 4 RBs.
buffaloboyinATL Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I liked the way he ran too, but I couldn't tell if it was pre-season heroics or legitimate NFL talent.
Buffalo716 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 He plants his foot and hits the hole pretty well. He also has a little bit of wiggle to him, but he is easily replaceable. Rather run Tolbert as the 3
swnybillsfan Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I'd keep him. I really think we will keep 5 RB's including FB's on the roster. do you think that these guys will be heavily involved in the pass game? i mean, get the ball in their hands with a bit of space, good things could happen. i know shady has good hands, and i believe dimarco is supposed to be a decent pass catching fb. j will has been running strong. and tolbert is a battering ram. i kinda hope these guys are collectively used quite a bit in the passing game.
snydert317 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 As someone in conservation, it horrifies me that Banyard kills an apex predator in his hometown annually. As a football player, i root for him.... just wish the Bills didnt glorify the Sweetwater roundup. Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
PromoTheRobot Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 As a UB alum I was hoping Jordan Johnson would show something. Alas, he hasn't. PS if he's lucky but I'm not betting it.

Do you guys like anything in his game or do you think he's just another guy? Take away the fumble (don't know that you can do that really) and the guy looked good. It seems to me that something like every year or every other year perhaps, that there is a third string (or later) running back who looks good in preseason and we all think very highly of that player. Then when they get the chance to play in a regular season game, we see them constantly run for no gain, little gain - giant pile at the line of scrimmage types of plays. I'm not expecting him to be any different in that respect. If he was shredding defenses for 6 it would be different.
BuffaloFan68 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 From what I've seen so far this year, I would cut him - but that's just my HO. Go Bills!!!!!
Mat68 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 See if he can return kicks. Outside of Tate who would do that if he gets hurt? White? Idk if I would risk our top corner.

Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 Keep him and cut Tolbert if you only want 4 RBs. Tolbert has not been looking like the imposing freight train like force I remember.
