If Peterman was drafted in the fifth then it was a great decision to draft him in the fifth. Any earlier was a reach. The real mistake was last year when it was pretty well known that they liked Dak Prescott. They should have drafted him , but blew their draft wad moving up to get Ragland . So a better argument would be that they should have skipped A. Washington and drafted Dak a bit early. Seems Peterman went exactly where he should have. The Bills would be in much better shape if not for Whaleys freewheeling style with draft picks.

As far as winning goes, it's safe to say not to expect much. A new system isn't a panacea, there will be growing pains and some players won't be a fit. Many players from last season are no longer here. Thers no guarantee the Bills will get smart coaching. .500 is probably a tall order for this team.

You can only now say the Bills should've taken Dak Prescott in the 3rd rd.because he played like an all-pro his rookie season, Peterman hasn't yet proven himself as a pro and because he actually landed with the Bills vs.another team who jumped on him ahead of the Bills who he in turn played extremely well for.

Your opinion is based purely in hindsight.

Peterman wouldn't have been a reach in the 4th round, but since you believe this to be true, you also have to believe Prescott being drafted in the 3rd rd. in place of Adolphus Washington would have also been considered a reach, given that he was selected in the 4th rd, just a few picks ahead of the Bills having their chance to take him.

Not exactly. Prescott slid in the draft due to off field issue, not talent. He would have been a smart choice in the third not a reach, due to the Bills and Whaley trading away that 4th ( for Ragland) that was likely slotted for Prescott. Peterman went about where his talent level ( questionable arm) dictated he should. It's a different situation when the talent level is higher than the draft position due to off field concerns. Yeah buddy! EJ Gaines looking better than Stephon Gilmore on the right and Tre'Davious White looking like he's coming into his own on the left.

NO TANK in the Bills vocab!
