PirateHookerMD Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Did McD just not get asked at his press conference or not provide any update?
PABillsfan23 Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 if he has a long term injury it will hake it harder to release Holmes Won't make it harder.. it won't happen
YoloinOhio Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Did McD just not get asked at his press conference or not provide any update? he didn't have an update because they were still getting an MRI. He expected to know something last night though, he said.
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted August 19, 2017 Author Posted August 19, 2017 Haven't heard anything on Jordan Matthews either. I'd like to see what he can do, but it seems the Bills are going to be extremely cautious getting him on the field. Any word on if he plays next week?

They have infected spleen stem cells into his sternum. He'll be ready for week one.
NoSaint Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I was wondering that too. I would assume dislocation could hurt more but heal quicker. Probably depends on the severity of either
jumbalaya Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 I cannot believe you have given the sacred Tale away so quickly. These things need to be earned and not so freely given. Shame on you Aug. ! That being said. I am a Streater Homer. I admit it. Was hoping Brown would show better as both players have some speed and chops. Not a Holmes fan so far, and have concern about Old Man Boldin after watching him last night. Getting tense about WR already and now add the O line to my list Of Concerns. Damn shame 'bout that spleen injury. Sure miss Rusty Jones. Go Daikel Shorts !! It Does ? Good thing that we have two first round picks that we can trade for a true #1 WR with speed, moves, hands, and route running ability.....
3rdand12 Posted August 19, 2017 Posted August 19, 2017 Good thing that we have two first round picks that we can trade for a true #1 WR with speed, moves, hands, and route running ability..... Wow ! That does seem like a good idea now that you mention it.

rsxfirefighter Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) Burlington County Times article on Streater provided this nugget. http://www.burlingtoncountytimes.com/sports/high-school/nj/schools/burlington-township/never-bet-against-bills-wide-receiver-rod-streater/article_6ab53e0e-8511-11e7-8ff6-0f8ef8f70e9a.html The preliminary word from Streater, after X-rays at the stadium, was a dislocated toe, but no break and no apparent tissue damage. Luckily it looks like it isnt broken, Streater said. Thats a win for me. I made it out. Hopefully, it will heal quickly so I can get right back out there. Ill be just fine. YoloinOhio Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 @salsports Fact Bills waived/injured Croom but not Streater is hopefully good news on WR. But, we'll get more info when McDermott meets media in 20 min
YoloinOhio Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Aaand... @salsports No update on Streater. "Still evaluating."
26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 @SalSports McDermott: "We're weighing our options at this time," when asked if Streater will require surgery.
Pete Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 hopefully it is just dislocated and doesn't need surgery. I dislocated my finger, set it, and didn't wear splint, and was fine within a week or two
Fadingpain Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 (edited) Sounds like it's truly a wait see, day-to-day type thing. When it heals up and he feels better, he'll be ready. And not before. Edited August 20, 2017 by Fadingpain

1st Ammendment NoMas Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 Seems like a pain management issue. I've worked off a broken toe and broken neck for years. Just have to push through the pain and man up.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 Seems like a pain management issue. I've worked off a broken toe and broken neck for years. Just have to push through the pain and man up. How many go routes did you have to run?
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted August 20, 2017 Author Posted August 20, 2017 How many go routes did you have to run? I had to lift and carry heavy equipment around for 12+ hours a day. It's just as bad as a go route. Pain is pain and I wish someone paid me millions to push through the pain. The rest of us bust ass for a fraction of that amount.
Gavin in Va Beach Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 He'll be fine. McDermott is pulling a Belichick by hinting that Streater is in a medically induced coma at death's door, only to have him play in game 1 and go 9 catches for 125 yds and a TD.
