Hearing this Mantra "Win Now" coming from the Bills- despite trading away Sammy Watkins, is an absolute insult. A team that wants to "Win Now" does not trade away their best (and one of the league's best) Wide Receivers.

From Vic Caruci-

"*Wide receiver: Sammy Watkins. Yes, I know he's no longer on the team, but he participated in most of the camp practices before the Bills traded him to the Los Angeles Rams last Friday. And he was easily better than any receiver on the roster through most of those workouts (newcomers Anquan Boldin and Jordan Matthews either didn't practice with him much or at all, so they aren't being factored into this assessment). Having finally recovered from the foot surgery he underwent in January, Watkins ran well and used his athleticism to the fullest to gain separation and make plays. He repeatedly out-jumped defenders for difficult catches of throws that were over his head. The Bills are going to miss the guy who showed up for camp."

As a Bills fan and yes a Sammy Watkins fan, this breaks my heart.

It was a calculated decision- and mainly a financial one.

To to the Buffalo Bills organization who insist that they truly want to "win now"-

1) What is your definition of "now"? and

2) Who are you crappin?

We are not winning now. We traded for two guys on expiring contracts and our entire WR Corp besides Zay are free agents next year.

We will be rebuilding, again. A bunch of trades/FA walks/retires next year. And it's the same ol same ol, but everyone will be a goody two shoes.

We were not going to win with him.

So got some assets

Again stupidity.

This team had the ability to compete in a league that is set up for 8-8 seasons. You have to be inept or consciously try and lose and the Bills now are 2 games worse on paper.

What that means as usual is a pick in the 8-12 range and their track record is lousy.

If they are looking at a rookie qb that means 2018 is a wroite off too, along with 2019 & 2020....

Great.......6-10 or 7-9 and I'm supposed to be excited????

Maybe all will fall into place & TT or Shady are injured too and miss half the season.

It is insulting to any Bills fan to have to listen to this company line nonsense. Yes Sammy had injury issues but he was also clearly the most dynamic wr we've had in a decade. If he stays healthy and Goff develops then this will go down as the worst trade in Bills history.

They were not winning this year with Sammy.

Harder schedule

New coaches and offense

Aging top player

This was not a playoff team wirh Sammy so got assets for a guy that was not in their long term plans

Not if that 2nd helps the Bills get their 20 year QB

If and if. The ad should be better this year and overall the offense receiver wise is better than last year given Sammy was injured last year. No reason they're not competitive this year.

It's a given that Goff & the Rams are going to highlight Watkins, and yes barring injury it will be sickening to watch as Bills fans........

You can not trade away the better player in two trades and then claim you are not tanking.

I bet the new regimes is hoping for key injuries as they have no interest in doing well and have shown it by the trades.

so the antithesis to your "win now" doubt is to "lose now for future gain", right?......I'm sure Beane and McD would be on board with tanking and blaming it on the past......sorry these boyz have pride and show NO intent on mailing it in.....don't insult US..............

. They have no interest in doing well. What drivel.

And in the Eagles trade Matthews was the best player in the deal.

spot on across the board Bobby. Fans can't accept this wasn't a playoff team period. So what we finish with 6 wins this year? It means we are closer to the top picks in the draft to get our QB.
