Off topic, but because I don't think every player in camp should get his own dedicated post ...

... Eddie Yarbrough is the breakout player of this camp. From the home page and Carucci:

And no, I'm not replying to this post just to say I went to University of Wyoming  (and I didn't), but the kid is from Colorado and was in the Broncos camp last year, so he isn't completely new to me. I think he's for real and not just a training camp hero. By "for real" I don't mean I expect him to have 10 sacks this year, but I do mean that I think he'll play an important role, particularly on passing downs. Here's a little background from my backyard:

The Good: At Wyoming Yarbrough was a three-time first team All-Mountain West selection, often matching up seasonally with Denver Broncos 2014 second round pick Ty Sambrailo (who played for Colorado State in college). With Wyoming, Yarbrough made 256 tackles (39 for a loss), 21.5 sacks and forced/recovered 4 fumbles.

The Bad: A nagging knee sprain his Senior season knocked him down from being a likely top 100 pick to a college free agent. Entering 2015 Yarbrough was 6th among all FBS defensive linemen in tackles for a loss and on record pace at Wyoming.

And in the "I know a guy who knew a guy" category: Yarbrough got cut by the Broncos and stayed home in Denver working out at a local sports conditioning clinic, and word is that he worked his butt off getting both bigger and leaner:

Yarbrough and Logan Thomas are looking like the surprise defensive and offensive big contributors in 2017. Ronald and Sammy who?

Scrolled through and surprised to not find any discussion on this kid yet.

He played a TON in the first preseason game. I can't say how he did because it was tough to follow from where I was, but I noticed he played most of the first half. Very surprised at how much time he got on the field, especially compared to Ragland.

Then today, I find him in this ESPN article where they built "The Perfect NFL Roster" within the salary cap. Now sure, he was just thrown in as a cheap backup, but again, his name is popping up.

When he was drafted, I thought he'd be nothing more than camp fodder.

But with recent events, and it seeming like McBeane want "their guys" in there, maybe it's time we pay him a little more attention.

Thoughts? Anyone watch him much in college? Will he still be a goner/practice squad guy?

also off topic but I heard Yarbrough interviewed and they asked him about Josh Allen since he played with him. He talked him up pretty good. What are your thoughts since I assume you've seen him a lot?

Edit: oops I misread your post and thought you said you DID go to Wyoming!

That's weird. Because Joe B. keeps saying how much he stinks and is falling down the depth chart. That he hasn't been better than Tanner V., who was drafted in the round after him.

That is not what Joe B said. He said he had to pick one rookie dud, and that Milano didn't deserve that title, but he had to pick one.

Tanner and Milano will both make the team

So instead of saying "There doesnt seem to be a single dud in McD's first draft class", he still HAD to figure out a way to insult someone. Great reporting. Always have to say something negative to get them clicks!

Here is a video breakdown

Thanks Erik!
