nucci Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Several reporters suggest we trade Ragland to KC. I would want Alex Smith back since the Chiefs don't see him as their long term QB. I think he would be perfect for what Dennison wants to do. He's very efficient and surprisingly mobile at times. I think KC wouldn't do Ragland for Smith straight up, but I wouldn't add more than a 4th rd pick. Who else could we afford to throw in to make it happen? Philly Brown? Holmes? Ducasse? Why would you want Alex Smith as QB?

FIRST MISTAKE YOU made was listening to a reporter. if they were able to do anything besides talk about it maybe they would have a real job in football. by the way which idiots you listen you anyway?
Watkins101 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I don't think. The Chiefs would do this. Unless we gave them their first back...
HumbleAndHungry Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 We will not make any trades with KC this year. Alex smith is not a franchise qb and that's what we desperately need
aristocrat Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Wed have to get rid of tyrod right? We have to do crazy cap moves to even do this. We need depth and he is depth with a promise of upside. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Definitely not Smith, but I would trade Ragland for D'Anthony Thomas and a 5th round pick. We need someone electrifying out there for our return game. Going to be hard to play ground and pound ball with bad field position.
BarleyNY Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 i tell you what i wish we had the cap space for joe haden I'd be the they'd move Haden, but would not be interested in Ragland. No place for him on Greggg's defense.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Alex Smith would get best QB we've had since at least Flutie. Do y'all ever watch him play? Giants no longer wanted Kurt Warner but he was Arizona's saviour. Nobody wanted Gannon yet he was Oakland's savior. It happens. If you're looking to Alex Smith to be your savior, it's over. End of story.
BuffaloBaumer Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 I think this board needs to shut down for a week and drain the swamp.

BmarvB Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 (edited) Ugh, aren't we trying to improve the quarterback position? Granted, He's not going to the HOF but all he does is win enough games to get to qualify for the playoffs. There's nothing at all fancy about him but he does get the job done. Charlottebillsfan2 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 It would be something if we traded Ragland and picked up their second.
Augie Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 It would be something if we traded Ragland and picked up their second. Seriously doubt we get that. Just got a text sugegsting rumor of a 4th.
billsfan_34 Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 Stop the nonsense- Ragland has not played a down in the NFL regular seasons and hasn't looked good. So really we would throw away draft stock for Alex Smith when our franchise guy may be there in 2018? I hate to be that guy but this is ridiculous and isn't going to happen.
K D Posted August 16, 2017 Posted August 16, 2017 we couldn't even get a bag of footballs for Ragland at this point. hopefully he shows something in the preseason games because i didn't see much last week
