Buffalo716
Please ignore the names listed next to players. I realize Zach isn't here and Ragland isn't playing much. These are two good pictures that show how McDermott lines his players up in the 43 over and under fronts. The picture against the cardinals shows his 43 under front (notice the 1tech right off the center, and the 3tech on the outside shoulder of the guard) He also uses a 6 or 7 technique on the strong side and a 9 tech rusher on the weak side Going to picture 2 against the Falcons and this shows McDermott in his over front. (SLB is key) This time the D tackles switch responsibilities and again the weak side DT plays the 1 technique. The strong side tackle plays the 3 technique. But both Defenseive ends are lined up pretty much at the 9 technique ready to pass rush Straight out of jimmy johnsons playbook and a good way to keep offensive lines off guard Let's hope for some front 4 magic again

Buffalo716
Good stuff. I did enjoy the front 4 attacking against the Vikes We still have a front 4 as dominate as anybody . So glad we are gonna let Kyle , Dareus, Jerry and Shaq do what they do best. Get upfield and penetrate

Well find out next week wen Shaq plays. Smart teams sign players with talent. Short minded teams sign popularity. And he's only 23 or 24! He can be a great depth end for years! yep. Buffalo716
Looking at all of our D lineman I can see why McDermott was the choice. Our strength is still in the D line and we have the perfect talent for his under/over scheme We have the perfect 1 or 3 tech in Dareus. We have the perfect 3 tech in Kyle who is stout and savvy enough to play the 1 at a very high level as well. We Have the physically gifted future 3 tech in Washington. We have the 7 tech who can play 9 with Shaq Lawson. And we have Jerry Hughes who is the ideal 9 technique pass rusher Yarbrough looks like he can play the 7 or 9 as well With Worthy also able to play the 1 or pass rush as well in sub packages We have a very great and versatile line

By all accounts, Shaq has been even better in camp. If he's productive in game 2, then the chances of that wouldn't be high.

Buffalo716
Might want to google Houston Texans depth chart among a few others There are a lot of dominant fronts in the nfl. We are closer to the top than the bottom of the league
