billsfan89 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 If Matthews and Gains are so good the team needs to resign them then they will have done extremely well in the trade.
yungmack Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 ...and Beane pulls a rabbit outta his hat and re-signs UFA Sammy who wants to come "home"....hmmmmm.................. I first misread this as "Beane pulls a RABBI outta his hat..." I thought, well, that's weird. But original. Fridays.
OldTimer1960 Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I don't agree. They would never have taken a 2nd and 3rd for Watkins and Darby. They are trying to add a couple of starters and picks. They'll keep both guys. I hope that you are right, but I don't see it that way.
LABILLBACKER Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Until we land a franchise QB it really doesn't matter who we have or who resigns at these other positions.
K D Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 The Bills got cheaper players. Yeah? Are the Bills better? NO! TANK! TANK! TANK! how much worse are they though? they got a possible 1k yards receiver and a db that will play zone (oh yea PLUS the picks!)
Beast Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 They will re-sign them if for no other reason than to save face. They aren't going to trade their top CB and too WR for just a couple of picks. The Bills have plenty of draft picks to fill either spot if the Bills choose not to resign either.
Bangarang Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 We got all these draft picks to use on more RBs, WRs and DBs. We'll address QB later in the draft.
Kirby Jackson Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 (edited) save face?...seriously?......because you said so?......give it up...you have ZERO idea as to how these trades pan out as NOBODY else does....think I've heard it all..... They aren't going to trade Sammy and Darby for a 2nd and 3rd. They aren't going to let these guys walk out the door after 1 year. That's common sense. Are we that naive? Jamie Muellers Ghost Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Don't be so sure they both will enter into the formula for compensatory picks next season which allows more flexibility than what they had before. After what's happened today another third round pick to this regime looks very important.
John from Riverside Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Lets watch them play in our system before talking about this
without a drought Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Considering what Robert Woods signed for, expect somewhere around $10mil a season for Matthews for 5 years with around 20 guaranteed. Gaines hasn't been good for a while, so it may not matter.
