Watkins101 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Teams to root against for 2017: Patriots Chiefs Rams Eagles Bears 49ers if they get cousins
bisonbrigade Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 (edited) Who were their best players that they "let go"? Gilmore, Gillislee, Woods, Watkins, Darby, So far. We traded for Matthews and Gains because they are on expiring contracts and will be gone in 2018. Tyrod will be gone in 2018. Edited August 12, 2017 by bisonbrigade
K D Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Teams to root against for 2017: Patriots Chiefs Rams Eagles Bears 49ers if they get cousins Root for Kizer but not so much in that he wins a lot of games for Cleveland, just that he looks the part and they are happy
Watkins101 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 With two first-round picks, two second-round picks, two third-round picks, and a fourth, fifth and seventh. We have nine draft picks, six of them in the first three rounds. That's a nice supply of currency. so who do we draft, and who can we strike a nice deal with? +the comp picks that we should get and the conditional from The Chargers.
zevo Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 +the comp picks that we should get and the conditional from The Chargers. Rams
billsfan60 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Define what it means for Peterman to have the light come on? should probably have said the game slows down for him and he gains confidence in himself and his team mates
CanadianFan Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 We have a lot of draft picks. Remains to be seen if we'll use them correctly. Hopefully they hit it out of the park, but assuming that just because we've got a lot of picks means things will get better isn't a very good bet. Bingo!

While true that the picks are no guarantee of success, the fact that the plan can fail does not make the plan bad.
Bangarang Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 should probably have said the game slows down for him and he gains confidence in himself and his team mates Which means what exactly? What is his production like because that's all that matters in this scenario.
Boatdrinks Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 What was Darby last season? They didn't "let go" of either of them. They actually got something for a player who was going to walk at the end of the season. Way to excuse the franchise in their financial mishandling of Watkins. Assuming he was going to leave after the 2017 season is an excuse, nothing more. While true that the picks are no guarantee of success, the fact that the plan can fail does not make the plan bad. Exactly. The plan was bad for plenty of reasons on its own.
OldTimer1960 Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 Gilmore, Gillislee, Woods, Watkins, Darby, So far. I don't understand your logic saying that they traded for guys on expiring contracts. How does that help anything? Losing two guys that you didn't have before doesn't create cap space magically. If they wanted to create cap space they would have just taken the draft choices and not required Mathews or Gaines be part of the deal.
