GunnerBill Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Gutted for the kid. I had a good grade on him... thought he was a nice fit for Miami.
Captain Hindsight Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I've made this comment last year, but these injuries just don't make sense. These professional athletes are in top condition and have the best doctors, trainers, and gear money can buy. Nutritionists always watch what they eat too. They constantly warm up and stretch. And after all of this, they get a torn acl in some non-contact injury. Now I've sprinted after buses, been chased by wild beasts, and have played plenty of pick up games of basketball/football/hockey etc and I still haven't had any stupid injury (knock on wood). I don't eat nearly as healthy as these pros, I don't exercise like them, and I'm certainly not as conditioned. Yet **** like this happens with them. Doesn't make sense This is their job so they do it alot more than you do. Its just going to happen eventually
Blokestradamus Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 He's in the same bracket as Reggie was. Post-ACL, maybe he's not quite athletic enough to live up to his potential. Worst part about preseason is all the bad news. Bad enough that nearly 1200 guys lose their jobs.
Kirby Jackson Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Terrible news!! He was always a favorite at OSU. A great leader and player. Get well soon!!
eball Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I mentioned it to my buddy last night as we were watching the Bills, but it has gotten to the point that I hold my breath after every play, almost expecting a player won't get up. I feel badly for anybody who sustains a serious injury in this game, no matter the team. Sankey's injury for Minnesota last night didn't look good.
The Jokeman Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 I am guessing they will be singing Orr at this point. They could also sign Kelvin Sheppard.
YoloinOhio Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 They could also sign Kelvin Sheppard. or Spikes. I think he lives down there.
Jauronimo Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 or Spikes. I think he lives down there. No, he just left his car there. Long story.
YoloinOhio Posted August 11, 2017 Author Posted August 11, 2017 MRI now confirmed @rapsheet The #Dolphins had some more misfortune. 2nd round LB Raekwon McMillan tore his ACL last night, source said. This is after the MRI.
Captain_Quint Posted August 11, 2017 Posted August 11, 2017 Looks like the AFC east is a 2 man show this year, unless we end up in the gutter too. Miami has had a rough offseason. It might get interesting if Brady goes down with an injury or happens to take a step back this year.
