More "white reggae" - The Slits in their 2005-2010 incarnation, featuring Ari Up (vocals), Tessa Pollitt (bass) and Holly Cook (keyboards). Ari Up died a year later from breast cancer. According to her stepfather, John Lydon (AKA Johnny Rotten), she refused chemotherapy because she did not want to lose her dreadlocks.

this is giving me "pour some sugar on me" Def Leppard vibes.  hair bands were high fashion drama VERY dramatic music to be taken VERY seriously.....their fans did I think.  I had a GF who was hardcore into that band.  it was fun the trail from this to thinking about her. RIP Karen
