This girl kills it.

That was slamming! Always liked that song, can't remember last time I heard it.

Love when a cover can be true to the original and breathe new life into it at the same time.

Early Aerosmith could go toe to toe with any rock band.

Personally, I'm partial to Rocks, an all-time great album.

rocks was good, get the lead out. the album I'm more partial to is toys in the attic. the whole album is good stuff

good stuff. my favorite cut from that album

Another great song.  On a related note, I've really come to appreciate Obscured by Clouds over the last few years.  It has a very similar sound to Meddle.

Great song, still gets some love.  I've seen it covered by Gov't Mule and Magpie Salute in the past few years. Mule was kind enough to precede it with One Of These Days.

Marco Benevento has a way of working it into his jazz performances, too.  Always a welcome surprise.

My favorite recent example of respect being given to this song was in Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some:

"Look- you can play an E pentatonic scale at 100 miles an hour till somebody's ears burn off, you can learn that, right? But finding the tangents within the framework, therein lies the artistry, man."

By far my favorite part of that movie.

I dated a girl who went to Buff State who attended one of his shows.......and appreciated getting escorted out by security. She was  a wild one! If only she could have stayed off stage...  You may have seen her....parts.

For all radio releases they have butchered New Year's Day, taking out the last verse about the Golden Age and the quick close-out and replaced it with a dumb threerepeat of the chorus. Why?

I wanna raid your music collection.

It's all in my mind now, aided by lists of great 12" 45s from the 1980s on the internet and hearing something.

At some point I owned all this...

I'll keep posting when I think of something worthy of it from that era....

Thanks for the thumbs-up!
