Posting a Roxy music cover as Bonus Good Morning TBD. It's the day before the AFC east championship. GO BILLS edit: Adam Sandler? really. lol Im posting that too EDIT: I have goosebumps over the Roxy music clip AND the Adam Sandler. Both were new for me today and I AM Blown away. Another Fan Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Always liked the song. Seems appropriate for the fanbase now Quote
muppy Posted January 29 Posted January 29 how fun is this. My son is the bass player in this clip. The song title is identical. I haven't heard this in a few years. He is out of music now. These were some fun times for all of us. Check out his vintage Gibson black ripper. same bass as Gene Simmons from KISS plays. 1 Quote

Funny story- my job I go into a lot of affluent houses, and I have great relationships with my customers. I befriended an older gentleman, who taught microbiology at Brown, and he worked for the CDC. Hes an interesting fellow, probably in his 80s, and we always have interesting conversation. I notice when I walk in the front door, the first room on the right has nice stereo, a large collection of CDs, and a comfortable chair. I ask "What a great room! Is that your listening room? Do you enjoy music?" "Yes I love music" He loved Oscar Peterson and older jazz. I talk to him about jazz. I say " you know what I love about jazz is that some goes in a bluesy direction, and some goes in funky direction" He says "Peter, what is funk? Ive never heard" "You never heard funk? Have you heard James Brown?" "No". Wow I think, this dude has been deep in academia his whole life. I cue up James Brown The Payback, and he put the headphones on... I saw the face of an 80 year old getting his mind blown! I will never forget the look on his face, it was pure joy and discovery! "Peter" he said "I really, really like this Funk!" It not every day you blow an 80 year old genius's mind! 1 Quote
