Skip Spence played drums on "Jefferson Airplane Takes Off" and guitar with Moby Grape. Sadly, addiction and mental health problems cut his career short. From his solo album "Oar" (1969)...

I’ve been playing Christmas vinyl since 4am.  Jimmy Smith Christmas, Ramsey Lewis, Supremes, Chess, A Very Merry Christmas, Ventures, Jingle Bell Jazz, Elvis, Salsoul….Mr Hankey is on deck, when our Christmas company arrives.  Then me and my son in law will start DJing 45s- this will be my first 45 we play-

Released 40 years ago, one of the best post-punk albums, Hüsker Dü's "Zen Arcade".

what do you all think of this? I read in a comment that this sound gave him so much adrenaline that it helped him kick a drug addiction. Wow. That's pretty heavy.

this is one of those bands that gets a lot of acclaim for their influence on other musicians.   I haven't  heard this in years.Thanks for posting.
