Yeah, no shot I'm spending money on that ****. I'll stick with the smaller-budget films this month if there's any indie stuff worth seeing.

Then let's have a look.

Here are some of this month's Independent Films.

After some time off, Steven Soderbergh is back in the director's chair with his latest feature film, "Logan Lucky". Two brothers attempt to pull off a heist during a NASCAR race in North Carolina. The ensemble cast includes: Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Seth MacFarlane, Katie Holmes, Katherine Waterston, Riley Keough, Hilary Swank & Daniel Craig.

Jeremy Renner & Elizabeth Olson star in, "Wind River". An FBI agent teams with a town's veteran game tracker to investigate a murder that occurred on a Native American reservation. Also starring Kelsey Asbille, Julia Jones, Teo Briones & Graham Greene.

Kate Beckinsale & Pierce Brosnan star in, "The Only Living Boy in New York". Adrift in New York City, a recent college graduate's life is upended by his father's mistress. Also starring Callum Turner, Cynthia Nixon & Jeff Bridges.

Aubrey Plaza & Elizabeth Olson star in, "Ingrid Goes West". An unhinged social media stalker moves to LA and insinuates herself into the life of an Instagram star. Also starring O'Shea Jackson Jr., Wyatt Russell & Billy Magnussen.

In "Birth of the Dragon", Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, BIRTH OF THE DRAGON is a modern take on the classic movies that Bruce Lee was known for. It takes its inspiration from the epic and still controversial showdown between an up-and-coming Bruce Lee and kung fu master Wong Jack Man - a battle that gave birth to a legend. Starring Billy Magnussen, Yu Xia, Phillip Ng & Jingjing Qu.

In "Good Time", A bank robber finds himself unable to evade those who are looking for him. Starring Robert Pattinson, Benny Safdie, Taliah Webster & Jennifer Jason Leigh.

In "6 Days", In April 1980, armed gunmen stormed the Iranian Embassy in Princes Gate, London and took all inside hostage. Over the next six days a tense standoff took place, all the while a group of highly trained soldiers from the SAS prepared for a raid the world had never seen the likes of. Starring Abbie Cornish, Mark Strong, Jamie Bell & Emun Elliott.

"Patti Cake$" is centered on aspiring rapper Patricia Dombrowski, a.k.a. Killa P, a.k.a. Patti Cake$, who is fighting an unlikely quest for glory in her downtrodden hometown in New Jersey. Starring Danielle MacDonald, Bridget Everett, Siddharth Dhananjay & Mamoudou Athie.

In "Tulip Fever", An artist falls for a young married woman while he's commissioned to paint her portrait during the Tulip mania of 17th century Amsterdam. Starring Alicia Vikander, Cara Delevinigne, Dane DeHaan , Holliday Grainger, Judi Dench, Zach Galifianakis & Christoph Waltz.

In "Marjorie Prime", A service that provides holographic recreations of deceased loved ones allows a man to come face-to-face with the younger version of his late father-in-law. Starring Jon Hamm, Geena Davis, Tim Robbins & Lois Smith.

Finally, in the documentary, "Sidemen: Long Road to Glory", we get an intimate look at the incredible lives and legacies of piano player Pinetop Perkins, drummer Willie 'Big Eyes' Smith and guitarist Hubert Sumlin, all Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf sidemen. The film captures some of the last interviews and their final live performances together, before their deaths in 2011. The historic live shows are accompanied by performances and personal insights from many of the blues and rock stars these legendary sidemen inspired including; Bonnie Raitt, Gregg Allman, Derek Trucks, Shemekia Copeland, Robby Krieger, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Perry, Joe Bonamassa and Johnny Winter.

Wind River looks pretty good, actually saw a commercial for it last night. Nice timing. Thinking about seeing it tonight.

The critics loved "Logan Lucky", but it's only gotten a mild reception from audiences.

"Wind River" got good reviews, and so is "Ingrid Goes West".

It's terrific. If you liked Hell or Highwater or Sicario, you'll dig it.

Thanks. I thought those were both outstanding movies.

Sicario deserved more awards consideration, although I have a very good suspicion as to why it didn't. Grossly overlooked movie.

I've been very impressed with Denis Villenueve's movies. Very curious to see how Blade Runner 2049 turns out.

I feel like they could combine some of these and then save me a lot of time. Then I could not watch just one movie instead of not watching five of them. Maybe an African American up and coming rapper is trying to pull off the perfect bank job so he can use the money to bankroll his first album so he can prove to his male fiancee's Asian parents that he is worthy of their son. But the bank job goes awry due to racist cops and a demonically possessed stuffed animal which calls down a meteor which will kill all life on Earth unless our hero can team up with mutant comic book characters to save the world, and his future marriage.

See? nobody would watch that either. But it would take less time.

You'd be surprised as to what movies people WILL watch. And which of those movies are hits.

Ummmm...that sounds like an instant cult classic.

Joking aside, Hitman's Bodyguard wasn't that good. The best part about this movie was it's advertising campaign....and Selma Hayek.
