Buffalo716 Posted July 31, 2017 Author Posted July 31, 2017 flat plays are great for the red zone too, you can get hte LB caught up in traffic and its dimarco/tolbert vs a corner at the goalline. Yep. I was brought up on old split back offenses and the right FB is a killer in the short passing game
Buffalo716 Posted August 1, 2017 Author Posted August 1, 2017 (edited) This is a nice Texas concept to get DiMarco or Tolbert involved Edited August 1, 2017 by Buffalo716
BarleyNY Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 A staple of the Dennsion offense is the Texas concept. The concept of this route tree is to have your tight end inline and have him push vertically up the seam while the HB runs a short angle route underneath him in the unoccupied space. Charles clay and McCoy are the perfect TE / HB combination for this concept and it will wreck opposing defenses this season. It is basically an addition to the run game as it is a quick rythem play designed to get the ball into playmakers hands as soon as possible The diagram below runs it with an out but the concept is the same Shady can easily have 60+ catches https://www.buffalorumblings.com/platform/amp/2017/7/31/16071632/buffalo-bills-offensive-coordinator-rick-dennisons-playbook-texas-passing-tyrod-taylor Only 3 RBs had 60 or more catches last season. That's a tall order. And RBs with a high number of catches is more indicative of a passing team than a running one.
John from Riverside Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 Dont we also have a FB now that can run a catch a little bit as well?
vincec Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 If you want to see what shady can do, look up Roger Craig. Who was Craig's QB again?
Buffalo716 Posted August 1, 2017 Author Posted August 1, 2017 Dont we also have a FB now that can run a catch a little bit as well? Yep Look a few posts above this. I have another Texas cocept where the FB runs the route. Should be deadly
