BobbyC81 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 (edited) @JosinaAnderson Text from #Cowboys source to me on WR Lucky Whitehead, whose agent just said the charges against him were rescinded: "We've moved on." [Cont.] #Cowboys source adds on WR Lucky Whitehead: "Just time to improve the roster from an ability and team culture standpoint." [Cont] Asked the #Cowboys source if they were concerned about a grievance from WR Lucky Whitehead they replied, "No. Dealing with ability." So, I guess he was "Lucky" that they figured out he was the wrong guy and charges dropped but "Unlucky" that he got cut. Sounds like an opportunity for a good lawsuit against the guy using his name. 26CornerBlitz Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 @AroundTheNFL Five NFL teams contacted Lucky Whitehead on Tuesday after he was waived by Cowboys http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000822004/article/lucky-whitehead-hopefully-i-can-find-a-new-home
Meathead Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 we all have our opposite so somewhere in the world is a guy named Unlucky Blackhead
row_33 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 Last time i saw Lucky as a name was for a joke posted bill asking if anyone had seen their cat, missing an eye, an ear, a leg....
without a drought Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 I heard they will give Greg Hardy a call to fill the roster spot.
row_33 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 If you want your felonies overlooked, you better be darn tootin' good on the field.
Houston's #1 Bills Fan Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 If verified, the report should guarantee him another shot elsewhere... NYG out of spite, maybe? That would be awesome!! Or the Eagles! Take that JJ!!
Marty McFly Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 The man got slandered and lost his job. That sucks...
row_33 Posted July 26, 2017 Posted July 26, 2017 The man got slandered and lost his job. That sucks... For sure. Imagine being kicked out of Dallas for moral turpitude.
26CornerBlitz Posted July 26, 2017 Author Posted July 26, 2017 @AdamSchefter Former Cowboys' WR Lucky Whitehead got claimed on waivers by NY Jets, per source.
26CornerBlitz Posted July 27, 2017 Author Posted July 27, 2017 @NBCSports Cowboys led NFL in suspensions...by a lot. http://bit.ly/2v1VxEa So while the Cowboys cut Lucky Whitehead after a shoplifting arrest that turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, most of the time they’re willing to accept players who get into off-field trouble. More than any other team in the league.
26CornerBlitz Posted July 28, 2017 Author Posted July 28, 2017 Another suspension: @AdamSchefter Cowboys' DE Damontre Moore suspended two games for violating substance abuse policy.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted July 28, 2017 Posted July 28, 2017 Man poor kid. Gets arrested, then was wrong person, THEN gets picked up by the Jets? CBF
Bronxbomber21 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 If it wasn't for "bad luck" Lucky wouldn't have no luck at all.
DriveFor1Outta5 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 In Jerry's defense Whitehead was accused of stealing. Jerry probably can't relate to that crime as well as he does to all the others.
26CornerBlitz Posted August 15, 2017 Author Posted August 15, 2017 Still no Luck! @nyjets Bowles: WR Lucky Whitehead suffered broken foot. Whether surgery is required is TBD. Will be out for an extended period of time.
