Boldin still mulling over Bills offer. Sounds like there's more at play than just money -

“I’ve been talking to teams the entire offseason,” said Boldin, who will turn 37 in October. “They understand the way that I train, and the fact that I train at XPE, any team that I go to knows that when I come [into camp] I’m in top shape, and they don’t have to worry it.”

Working against the Bills are two things; location and pedigree. Boldin’s family is in Florida and he has expressed a desire to be closer to them. He also told The Florida Sun-Sentiel that he wanted to play for an established winner.

"I’m going into year 15 so the only thing on my mind is winning. I’ve earned enough money to take care of me, my family, and my kid’s kids,” said Boldin last week. “I’ve won a championship [with the Ravens]. I know how that feels so I want to a taste of it again. I want to line up with a team that’s in position to win right now.”

I'd love for him to sign here, but it doesn't sound all that promising if he wants an established winner.

Thanks for this. The quotes are from a Florida Sun Sentinel article written before his visit to the Bills.....

Would love to have him on this team for so many reasons....

If you are "usually right when it comes to this team," as you claim, then, why aren't you working with the Pegulas to turn the team around?

This makes no sense unless the Bills have made the playoffs recently, and no one knows about it. Of course, sadly, he has been right.

@ChrisBrownBills: Major breaking news out of #OneBillsDrive - Brandon Beane and Joe Schoen are OUT. @AdamSchefter is reporting that the Pegulas will hire #TwoBillsDrive members @ScottLaw and @JM2009 as GM and AGM, respectively. Changes are effective immediately. Stay tuned to BuffaloBills.com for more details. #Fan Populist Movement

I think he'd be a good addition in terms of his providing a solid veteran presence. As far as talent level, I don't think he'd be much of an upgrade at his age over the likes of our new draftee and the other FAs we signed.

I wouldnt expect a decision for at least another week

he is in no rush. I think he waits for training camp and to see if there are any injuries. he may be in higher demand in a few weeks

Wives seem to only make the call when it's the Bills trying to sign somebody. Ain't that interesting.

She's not moving anyways so it won't matter. His family stays in Florida during the season.
