justnzane Posted March 3, 2005 Share Posted March 3, 2005 Ok look at the facts here, we are losing our #2 DT and the only starter from arguably the best defense in the NFL. That is a great turnover rate. Also, we lost 2 only starters on the Offense. Keepin JJ was not an option as he wanted $ over the oppurtunity to win. and DB thought he was still starter matierial. Still 2 out of 11 there, again good retention rate. So out of the 24 starting postions (including K/P), we lose 3 or a 7/8 retention rate. Now most teams that have a retention rate that high among their starters usually does real well. Personally, I think TD will find at least one or two lineman via FA or the draft that can take over the tackle spot and possibly solve the guard spot problem. As for replacing Phat Pat, I think Edwards and Anderson will be adequate, and not really be a weak spot on great defense.
