@SI_PeterKing

Good morning. MMQB is up. A redesigned site, and, at long last, @themmqb's All-Time NFL Draft is here.

https://www.si.com/nfl/2017/07/17/all-time-nfl-draft-peter-king-monday-morning-qb

We assembled an all-star panel of 12 football experts for an intriguing—and wildly fun—experiment: an All-Time Draft, drawing from the pool of every player in pro football history. How do you build a team? How would today’s players stack up against the giants of the past? Who goes No. 1? The results are fascinating.

Interesting results among these NFL "experts".

Very interesting stuff. Fouts did a terrible job I thought. Ray Guy as his first pick?

AND 4th overall too! Uh, what?

Was great to see Billy Shaw get picked. No Thurman or Jimbo however. Biscuit and Bruce on the D, Joe D, Billy S, OJ, and Cookie on the offensive side. And Tasker as a wild card. Might have missed someone but those just off memory.

Marv. Reed. Pat Williams.

Too many all-time great QBs and RBs for either to be selected.

Marv Levy would have done that too unless he took a corner.

Marv did draft a HOF RB who helped win one SB and would have won another if his team gave him the ball. :)

And Fouts should be immediately fired.

I could have seen Thurman on there as they took 2 RBs. You can argue that he's top 20-24 (whatever the number was) all-time.

@theMMQB

Who got snubbed from our All-Time Draft? We put together an All-Time Undrafted team, coached by George Halas. http://trib.al/6gQD3f5

Wild Card: Thurman Thomas | 1988–1999

One of the bigger omissions in The MMQB’s All-Time Draft, Thomas was the tremendously versatile backfield weapon for the Jim Kelly-led Buffalo teams that won four straight AFC championships. He led the NFL in total yards from scrimmage every year from 1989 to 1992 and had eight straight 1,000-yard rushing seasons. Thomas also averaged 55 receptions a year from 1989 to ’94 and led the NFL in rushing attempts in 1993, with 355. A two-time All-Pro, five-time Pro Bowler and the NFL MVP in 1991, Thomas was voted into the Hall of Fame in 2007.

Ironies of ironies is that Bill Polian only selected one Buffalo Bill in Marv Levy but he was actually a co-HC as he was also allowed to draft Tony Dungy!

Jim Kelly went undrafted?

Nice to see Marv drafted ahead of BB

CBF

Do you think he was an all time top 12 QB? I don't.

Yup, Kelly wasn't close to a top 12 qb. His playoff stats are pretty awful. He is a very good qb who played on one of the most talented teams in NFL history. We were absolutely loaded.
