NFL is suspending former Giants kicker Josh Brown six more games for domestic violence, sources tell ESPN.

Josh Brown was originally suspended 1G following an arrest on domestic violence. His ex-wife accused him of physical abuse more than 20x.

Prediction: the Cowboys will do just fine without him. He's a running back.

He's a game-changing running back.

That was the biggest black eye of hypocrisy that the NFL gives a sh** about DV. Josh Brown admitted in writing that he abused his wife "physically, emotionally, and mentally". He was arrested. He was charged. The NFL(!) moved his wife to a different hotel room at the Probowl after an incident where a drunken Josh Brown was beating on her door. And he got 1 freakin' game. The NFL is only just now "oh, well, maybe we should give him 6 more to be consistent".

Bunch of hypocrites.

"Game-changing" is a tired and silly cliché. Elliot is a very good running back, but the dropoff from him to McFadden (or whomever the Cowboys plug in) will not be particularly noticeable. I doubt Zeke's absence would move the betting line more than half a point, if that.

Quite interesting. Needed to be done earlier, but if they are trying to use this to set the new standard for DV that's... a start?

...mea culpas for the Ray Rice fiasco.......yet Rog is getting a 5year extension probably at his $40/mil a year level....and his goal is to increase the NFL to a $25 BILLION dollar financial juggernaut by 2027...and you don't think the owners are in drool mode and give a rat's azz about hypocrisy?.....um right...pay up bud....

first of all....the current discipline system was collectively bargained and agreed to by the current nflpa exec dir demaurice smith.

now, after the fact.....he doesn't thinks its "fair"

tough luck

Another year of Elliott & his accuser dragging each other through the mud as the NFL reminds everyone it has a domestic abuse problem. Fun!

Who cares!? Players are sitting during them anthem!

this is about delaying the punishment until all possible appeals have been heard....just in the unlikely event zeke wins.....because you can't undo games missed

the last lockout ended when the owners weren't allowed to defer their collected TV revenues

this one will probably crush the players permanently

:lol::lol::lol:

Good grief. When is the next lockout scheduled?

I would have more sympathy for the players if the NFLPA had not expressly agreed to this "forced" system of discipline.

Their union sucks.
