gflande1 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 (edited) Hope this wasnt already posted. I know another thread is covering his arrest, but it has been closed due to inappropriate comments. Here is the link of the TMZ coverage and video of Washingtons arrest. Dude is luck to be alive! http://m.tmz.com/#article/2017/07/12/adolphus-washington-arrest-video-gun-water-park/ Edited July 12, 2017 by gflande1
Captain Murica Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Holy crap, that was more intense than I imagined. Washington at least acted properly after being apprehended, wasn't mouthing off to the cops.
eball Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 AW was very respectful, clearly not intoxicated, etc. Still didn't have a good answer for why the gun was out.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Focusing on Adolphus, AW alone, and the specific incident... My question is why did he have the gun in his lap? He seemed to evade answering that question every time it was asked by the officer? In fact, I'm surprised that the officer didn't push further. Was he just being a dummy and showing it off? Was he afraid of something, and keeping it at the ready? Something fishy...
CommonCents Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Directly to Oz for that brain, do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. Just go get your head examined and please get a real car and stop wasting money on a slingshot.

Captain_Quint Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Between the horrible choice to even have a gun out and the horrible choice to buy a Slingshot, he deserves whatever he gets. Bills fans, on the otherhand, do not deserve it.
aristocrat Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 said he left it under the seat while at the party. stupid since the car is an open top. but at least he was very respectful and had a permit. i'd think these charges get dropped
GETTOTHE50 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 that cop was freaking the !@#$ out. Chill out man, getting crazy like that can cause **** to escalate. Anyways i don't think AW should get suspended or anything. Gj on keeping your cool AW
John from Riverside Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I actually thought he handled it pretty well Wasnt smug....was respectful.....and your not supposed to talk a lot in that situation

I'm pretty sure I heard somewhere early in the video once he is in the cop car the officer asks "Why did you even have it" or something along those lines and his answer was "I don't know these guys." Still not a good reason. But we have to remember that a lot of these players came from nothing, and their salaries are public. Even making a shade under a million a year makes them an easy target for people from their past. I can understand their paranoia, at the very least. In other news, based on the voice of the cops, it's confirmed that anything south of Cleveland in Ohio is basically Kentucky Edited July 12, 2017 by JM57

I can't watch the video at work, but did the cop ask why he had it or why he had it outside of concealment? He doesn't need a reason for the former, he needs one for the latter.
SoCal Deek Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I'm quickly approaching SIXTY YEARS OLD...and somehow I've avoided having an arrest video. Looks like I better get busy!

BuffaloHokie13 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 It was concealed. He hid it under the seat. So it was under his seat, or was it in his lap? Seeing both said here, also cannot watch vid.

Probably knew he was in trouble when cops were nearby since it wasn't properly secured and tried to get it put away on his person. In doing so, probably about got himself shot.
Paul Costa Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Agree with John. He was respectful at all times . I don't want anyone having a firearm in a car personally. Big mistake, but he handled it well.
