Captain Murica Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 He went the Barry Sanders route. I don't blame him, but, I see why some fans here worry about people not wanting to play here or stay here.
LeGOATski Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Same things Barry Sanders did. The Lions ruin great players.

Houston's #1 Bills Fan Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 But, if he truly felt like he could still produce and wanted to play, then force a trade. Everything is negotiable.
CommonCents Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Lions were better without him so that's a tough sell.
jester43 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 how can you fault a guy for wanting to hang'em up a little early, rather than too late? these guys know what's waiting for them if they hang around too long. and, for the record, the idea that the lions were better off without him is laughable.
26CornerBlitz Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 @corryjoel If Calvin Johnson really wanted out of Detroit, he should've played out his rookie contract. Lions weren't franchising him for $25M in 2013.
SCD Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Did you just compare these fellas to Megatron? Eric MouldsAaron SchobelTakes SpikesBills waste great players too
#34fan Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Basically confirming what we already knew... There is one organization worse than we are.
Shaw66 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Did you just compare these fellas to Megatron? Good. That post left me speechless.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 @corryjoel If Calvin Johnson really wanted out of Detroit, he should've played out his rookie contract. Lions weren't franchising him for $25M in 2013. This. He didn't have to sign that contract extension CBF
snamsnoops Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 (edited) He could come back and still be a top 10 maybe 5 WR in the NFL! Of course he would still be under contract with the LIONS! Edited July 12, 2017 by snamsnoops
Big C Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 This. He didn't have to sign that contract extension CBF True. But the Lions made the playoffs right before he signed the extension. Maybe he was feeling a little better about the franchise at the time?
PromoTheRobot Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 And then the Lions got better... But not by much.
Mango Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Eric Moulds Aaron Schobel Takes Spikes Bills waste great players too Did you just compare these fellas to Megatron? Good. That post left me speechless. No. He compared those players to Calvin Johnson AND Barry Sanders.....
SoCal Deek Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 The Bills are already in that position if not worse. They better hope they get lucky at some point here to stop the cycle or all they're going to have is rookies, rent-a-veterans...and over the hill, play out their contract guys. I'm praying that 2017 is the year the blind squirrel finds that nut!!!
SoCal Deek Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I'm thinking that the best thing that can happen for the long term success of the Bills is for Tyrod to figure it out under a new scheme in 2017. They simply have to stabilize that roster spot...or it will be years before a Rookie gets his act together in a meaningful way.
