Chandler#81 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Part II With apologies to GBID, I shut down his thread for the political and racial inferences. Unfortunately, it's an important topic for us to discuss, but there are obviously rules to posting and too much liberty was taken in some of the responses. If you're not sure of what is and isn't acceptable conduct, please read the Terms of Service. Otherwise, Carry on.
oldmanfan Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Will be interesting to see how the new regime handles this.
Fingon Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 He's probably looking at a 2-4 game suspension at the start of the 2018 season.
26CornerBlitz Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 He's probably looking at a 2-4 game suspension at the start of the 2018 season. 1 or 2 games at the most I would say.
JM2009 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 These players don't use their head sometimes. Don't think he would be cut or anything like that, but I'm sure he'll be "talked" to.
EmotionallyUnstable Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Do we have confirmation it wasn't, in fact, a super soaker?
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Doubt he gets suspended at all. Charges will get dropped.
K D Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 what kind of waterpark was this where he felt the need to be packing heat? there's nothing gangster about floating around in the lazy river
B-Man Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Doubt he gets suspended at all. Charges will get dropped. I agree.
flaz Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Just wondering if he has shown a propensity for this lack of judgement in the past? If so, can a team pay for some type of chaperone to help these young men through the off season.? If he's been a model citizen, I guess crap happens! ,
Jauronimo Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 These players don't use their head sometimes. What do you mean THESE players?!?!?
oldmanfan Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Just wondering if he has shown a propensity for this lack of judgement in the past? If so, can a team pay for some type of chaperone to help these young men through the off season.? If he's been a model citizen, I guess crap happens! , Should a team have to do that? Is it unreasonable to expect guys to behave responsibly?
Drunken Pygmy Goat Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I don't like commenting on issues where very few details are given, but it seems like he could have handled the situation differently, and possibly avoided being arrested. Probably best to wait for all the details before being judgemental.
muppy Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 Greetings 2BD...what we can all agree on for sure is this is Not a good look for Mr Washington going into training camp. UGH. Just the doubt and questions cast a pale over the guy. Come on Man Really? and Kdigz your water post is epic *LOL* love it :-) ~muppy
JM57 Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 He's probably looking at a 2-4 game suspension at the start of the 2018 season. If it were an illegal weapon maybe.
CodeMonkey Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 (edited) No mention of "without a permit" here. "improperly carrying a concealed firearm" apparently was the charge. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19958451/adolphus-washington-buffalo-bills-arrested-improperly-carrying-concealed-firearm Edited July 11, 2017 by CodeMonkey
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 If it were an illegal weapon maybe. Dude has a conceal/carry permit, correct? He just failed to inform the officers that he was in possession of his LEGAL firearm. I agree. Nothing to see here other than poor judgment on Adolphus' part. He isn't going to be convicted of anything.
