Another Fan Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Does anyone practice this anymore, assuming your raised Catholic? Went this morning, felt healthy but no one else was on line. Just curious, not here to preach.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Nope. My last confession was prior to my confirmation ceremony...probably 25 years ago or so. Not too many people do that anymore, I believe.
Captain Murica Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Born and raised catholic, had to do it for my confirmation and that was the last time I did it. Plus, I haven't been to church besides weddings and communions.

Mike in Horseheads Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Sadly don't forget funerals. ...There is a Monastery near here. .Best mass's, no sermon, no collection just 30 minutes of the real stuff.
PromoTheRobot Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 Nope. My last confession was prior to my confirmation ceremony...probably 25 years ago or so. Not too many people do that anymore, I believe. Same for me, only its been about 45 years.
Nervous Guy Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I don't sin so there's no need. Honestly, nope...and I was raised VERY Catholic...
/dev/null Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 I'm a non practicing Episcopalian so even if I were among the faithful flock, confession does not apply. No confession and reduced guilt. It's Catholic Lite.
Marv's Neighbor Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 You guys are heathens! No wonder the BILLS suck every season. On the one hand we have Brady & Kraft selling their souls years ago, and now this??
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 You Catholics don't need to confess; you seem to do a lot of it on Off the Wall.
Nervous Guy Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 You Catholics don't need to confess; you seem to do a lot of it on Off the Wall. yeah it's like one big !@#$ed up support group!
thebug Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 You guys are heathens! No wonder the BILLS suck every season. On the one hand we have Brady & Kraft selling their souls years ago, and now this?? That's a good point!!!!
Augie Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Not since confirmation. That was during the time Galileo was under house arrest. I was afraid of what punishment I might receive.

LeGOATski Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Confessing to a priest is pointless. Is he your best friend or something?
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 Confessing to a priest is pointless. Is he your best friend or something? The priest is supposed to be your "direct line" to confess your sins to god, but really, he just tells the old lady who plays the organ during mass and they have a good laugh.
mead107 Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 What you got to go confess for? God knows everything.
Cripple Creek Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 You guys are heathens! No wonder the BILLS suck every season. On the one hand we have Brady & Kraft selling their souls years ago, and now this?? This is our purgatory.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 What you got to go confess for? God knows everything. Supposedly true. Organized religion is full of contradictions and hypocracies.
