Speaking of roster and cap mismanagement, you have the Bills whose decisions the last few years led to them patching a team together with a ton of one year low cost veterans, many of whom are not in the NFL right now. It’s one thing to be aggressive when you are the Packers or Seahawks spending on talented players, but another thing to be the Bills and being aggressive on guys like Charles Clay to create bad financial situations. They finally started making changes in their front office which is a good thing because this has been groundhog day for the Bills fans since they signed Ryan Fitzpatrick and Mario Williams and continue to make the same type of mistakes over and over. New coaches have a tendency to surprise in the first year, which could happen here, but don’t be surprised if it’s a one year move while they get the rest of the team in order.

Sad truth, although it appears that things are turning around drastically at OBD. Much more friendly salary cap situation even next season.

Absolutely.

Time to stop busting Whaley's balls. He's gone. Things are different now.

Could someone even through this through a vulcan languange translater and explain to me what they are trying to say here

- What are the players that are no longer in the league?

- The one year low cost veterans were in the pro bowl?

- Charles Clay is still a very viable player on this team....EVERY team has bad contracts on it in one form or another

It's a symptom of the Bad coaching that has plagued this team for over a decade..

For the FO, it shows a failure to recognize GOOD coaching when it happens. (JIm Schwartz)

Putting Wrecks, a fired 4-12 coach, together with his brother who owned one of the WORST defenses in NFL history, was a damn-near unforgiveable mistake.

It proves we're a mark for every coaching HACK that holds his Bulls#!^ "philosophy" in reverence over team functionality and winning actual games.

If you had the 29th-ranked run defense in the league last year, and the 9th-ranked Pass D, (with a very inconsisitent Gilmore) Why take a CB 27th overall???

Why not take a closer look at your interior, and LB'S?... Bolster those units, and THEN address the 2ndary in a later round..

But no, The Bills TRADE DOWN from a lofty #10 in order to grab the 6th best corner in the draft at 27!!!

Those kinds of brain-farts aren't free... They're VERY expensive... When you couple them with BAD coaching hires, well... You've just set your program back YEARS.

The occasional enema won't help if you keep consuming the junk that blocked you up in the first place.
