boyst Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 The Emoji Movie is a testament to how far we have devolved as a race. species not race
Captain Murica Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 New Spider-Man was pretty good. Actually thought it was the best one to date. But, I'm also a huge comic book nerd ever since I was a kid. Love what marvel has been doing hopefully D.C. gets their act together soon.
unbillievable Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) Just got back from Spider-Man I liked it better than Wonder Woman; although I'm one of the few that thought WW's ending sucked. Spidey was solid all the way through. Some of the jokes went over the little kids' heads. Edited July 9, 2017 by unbillievable
Mark Vader Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 The Emoji Movie is a testament to how far we have devolved as a race. I would say the amount of box office grosses that were made during "The Twilight Saga", already proved that.
Saxum Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 I would say the amount of box office grosses that were made during "The Twilight Saga", already proved that. WWE, etc proved it a lot more before that.
Mark Vader Posted July 9, 2017 Author Posted July 9, 2017 Don't go to movies. I pretty much rely on GoBillsINDallas for his list of "wouldya's." That's Entertainment! Thank you for adding such insight to this topic.
IDBillzFan Posted July 9, 2017 Posted July 9, 2017 The Emoji Movie is a testament to how far we have devolved as a race. You obviously never saw "PIxels."
shrader Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 I'm too lazy to look up last month's thread, so I'll post it here. The wife and I went to Despicable Me this weekend. It passed the time, but the well has definitely dried up for that series. It's time for them to move on.
Just Jack Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Why would i see a movie about one of the most ignominious military defeats ever? Answer: I wouldn't. Hollywood's putting out some real garbage this year. Maybe they changed the ending to make everyone happy.
LeviF Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Mark, hear anything about "The Hero?" I think it was released last month but I didn't see it in the June thread. Thinking of going to see it this week as my "I'm alone in a movie theater" monthly event.
The Poojer Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 wait, so the movie dunkirk isn't about dunkirk ny???? crap, i was excited to see my old stompin' grounds on the big screen
Dante Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 None of these look good. Planet Of The Apes will probably be Redbox material. And enough Spider-Man movies already. I was just thinking the other day."It's been 6 months and no new Spiderman movie yet" And voila! Also "Atomic Blonde" looks absolutely ridiculous. Hopefully a spoof but I really doubt it. Kind of porn for man hating feminists I suppose. Went to go see "Beguiled" last weekend and they rolled the "Atomic Blonde" trailer out followed by one for the Bobby Riggs vs Biil Jean Kind disaster. Then, we were treated to the "Inconvenient Truth 2" trailer. Lots to look forward to. wtf has happened to Hollywood? Just friggen horrible stuff.
Kirby Jackson Posted July 10, 2017 Posted July 10, 2017 Spider-Man was quite good. Marvel is really crushing it at the moment with this series of summer movies.
shrader Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I haven't seen Michael Caine listed as a part of Dunkirk at all. How on earth was Nolan able to make a movie without him?
The Poojer Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 i like the trailers for the "Big Sick" movie they've been showing. I assume that is more an independent release than a major studio release. I'll wait til it comes to amazon though.
Dante Posted July 11, 2017 Posted July 11, 2017 I like Shia's latest. The best so far this year. http://www.tmz.com/?adid=TMZ_Web_Nav_News

It was outstanding. I agree with Captain Murica, it is probably the best one that's been made. Thankfully Peter Parker's friend was not as annoying as I thought he would be. Although I thought Zendaya's character was pointless. Great job by Tom Holland, and nice performance by Michael Keaton. Very glad to see Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
