Duane Starks to the Pats?

Recommended Posts

Andruzzi is gone.  Brown is gone.  Patten is probably gone.

Again, wake me when we lose a key player.

Bruschi's career is probably over.

See my previous post. Now you're basing your claims on wild assumptions?

And Weis and Crennel are gone.

Crennel's ready-groomed replacement will be fine, and you should know that I've always been patiently awaiting the overrated Weis's eventual departure.

But keep telling yourself "All is well!" <_<

Oh, I will. Because it is. <_<

But Andruzzi is a little more than mediocre.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. He's a solid run blocker, but his "Ole!" blocks in pass protection will not be missed.

Law is still one of the top 5 corners if he comes back healthy.

No argument there. I simply don't consider him a loss since the Pats' secondary was just as good without him last year as they were with him.

Phifer and Brown are no big losses.

Agreed.

The proof will be in the pudding.

I'll take that as a concession of the argument.

But hey, they had a good run.  <_<

By my estimation, they're somewhere in the middle of their extraordinary run. The young nucleus is still under contract for the next several years, and the cap situation is looking good now that several bad contracts are off the books.
