H2o
The Knicks might be pro sports most enduring sh-- show. Dolan makes Dan Snyder look competent. Tell me something I don't know. I can't stand Dolan. I hated Phil worse than Isiah Thomas too. That says a lot. The epitome of who Dolan is can be seen by what he had security do to Charles Oakley. One of the all time greats as a NY Knicks player escorted out of the building at Dolan's request. What a douche nozzle. I wish he could be fired as well. JohnC
Tell me something I don't know. I can't stand Dolan. I hated Phil worse than Isiah Thomas too. That says a lot. What a douche nozzle. I wish he could be fired as well. Dolan is the owner of the NY Rangers. He is a hands off owner with that endeavor. That hockey franchise is a success. The problem with Dolan isn't that he interfered with the operation of the Knicks because for the most part he didn't. His mistake is to hire names who are grotesquely incompetent to manage the franchise. If Dolan hires a GM such as Griffin or the respected GM of the Raptors in due time the franchise will not only be a success but it would be a destination in which stars will want to go to. dpberr
Phil Jackson wasn't an intelligent coach nor executive. Intelligent people adapt to changing circumstances and times. He was out there hustling the Triangle Offense *still* despite it being figured out in the late 90s.

Kirby Jackson
Cal going to the Knicks would be a great move. He's the best recruiter in the world and the players LOVE him. I'm pretty indifferent when it comes to the Knicks but I kind of hope that they make another terrible hire. James Dolan is so much worse than any other owner in any other sport. There isn't anyone close.

JaCrispy
http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/19755552/new-york-knicks-team-president-phil-jackson-part-ways-wednesday As a Knicks fan I couldn't be happier today. Phil has been worse than Isiah Thomas in my opinion. Hope he hops a plane and gets out of NY as soon as the press conference is over. Mike and Mike joked it was like winning the superbowl for Knicks fans...I chuckled because it was so true...I haven't been able to watch that team in 15 years...that's how bad it's been. They are trying to lure free agents. NBA players adore Calipari. He will crush it with the Knicks (despite Dolan).

The Phil hiring was idiotic - fittingly done by an idiot. Magic is mostly a name, but probably smarter than the average NBA idiot. It's become a players league. I'll admit I don't really love that. The employees and their agents are in charge. Cal or anyone else just needs to keep them happy. It's a league that has lost sight of parity. How many teams have a chance to win it all next year? I lost it with the NBA years ago when my youngest son of AAU age mentioned (3 minutes into a $600 evening in Charlotte) "they're not even trying!". H2o
https://twitter.com/ramonashelburne/status/880846518839726080 This is what I'm talking about right here. Let Mills move up and get Griffin for GM. Let he and Mills find our next coach to get this thing moving in the right direction. My Knicks have been about as bad as NYC smells for way too long.
