I've been to Mangia and Tappo and loved both. Not sure of others Will be staying at hotel Lafayette but not limited to downtown. Thanks!

Kirby Jackson
heard people talk about that place - where is it? Also anyone been to Big Ditch?Thin Man is on Elmwood; Shatzel owns it. Cool spot Big Ditch is cool too. I've been there a few times. It was REALLY crowded when we were there last. I like though although most of the guys in our group were ready for a change after like an hour. Riverworks is great too. I'd say that there are limited roof type places but fantastic waterfront options. I've been gone a while so that may be a little off but I'm basing it on what what my dad and brother are doing. They are much more social than I at this point.

But it looked like a cool place - I might try again this year. Also never been to riverworks and that's right near the hotel so will check that out for sure. TPS
Heard good things about the new restaurant at the Marcy casino over looking Hoyt lake in Delaware park: http://terracebuffalo.com/ Also, the hotel Henry is open at the HH Richardson complex (psychiatric center). They have a nice patio for a drink, not dinner.

JohnC
I have not gone for a drink at a psychiatric center in weeks! What a great idea! Their specialty is a psychotropic drug chased by a local brew. It's called the mellow stew.

Fan in San Diego
I recommend scaling the Peace Bridge and have dinner on the cat walks over the Niagara River! Wear gloves because of all the pigeon crap. Awesome view!

ExiledInIllinois
Swim like a mofo! Ha! LoL We took a walk on Bird Island last weekend and I asked my 19 year old "hot shot" son if he could... The young Turk says: "Sure." I laugh and say: "We will have the car ready and waiting in Tonawanda!" :-)
