Except that he's under contract. But I agree that it's unlikely the team went against Reid's wishes in trading up for Mahomes.

A contract that no doubt contains certain clauses about personnel control. That is just who Andy Reid is.

Confession: I clicked on this thread just to see what "jeffismagic"'s reaction is.

...pretty impressed with the quality of staff Beane was able to attract.....many are VP's or former Personnel Directors......and of course the naysayers will spin it to mean they were desperate for jobs and could not get hired elsewhere....go figure............

yes i did take serious note as to the experience factor with the staff. The Coaching isn't half bad either.

These are not castoffs. They are hungry and or a great fit for the program, or both.

This Pot of Stew smells appetizing so far

I must say, Jauron looked quite a bit like a liver, and Rex brought the onion. We tried to season it with an occasional Mularkey and Wade, but at the end of the day, it was still liver & onions. Let's hope for a cohesive stew for a change. Hell, I'd settle for a killer goulash at this point😉

Simple, fulfilling, bang for your buck kinda dinner....

....we've definitely have had some bad azz buffets......Jauron's pressers resembled a wake .refreshments were rumored to be embalming fluid.....had to nickname him "The Cadaver" because couldn't tell if he was alive or dead........Wade was a good dude forced out by RW because he would not fire staffers as Ralph demanded.....neutral on Moo.....Wrecks was a pig roast....too bad there wasn't an apple big enough to shove in his mouth.....McD?....don't know yet but a good chef does extensive prep work before getting to the main course and I like his "prep work"..............

@allbrightnfl

#Chiefs /Dorsey split had absolutely nothing to do with Dorsey contract situation, despite a few speculative reports I've seen.

I know top to bottom what happened, and have reported what I could without burning sources.

Reid forced Dorsey out per sources. #Chiefs

Just Andy Reid being Andy Reid.

Just Andy Reid being Andy Reid.

reading through Allbright's timeline, it sounds like Reid was frustrated with how Dorsey handled the Eric Berry contract and how he went about cutting Maclin via voicemail , as a couple examples. He felt the lockerroom didn't respect Dorsey and it would be difficult to sign FAs and keep vets going forward. I expect Reid shared this with ownership.
